Nieves Pilar Solis


Nieves Pilar Solis age 93 of Orlando passed away Tuesday, December 21st, 2010. Nieves was born in Havana, Cuba, the daughter of the late Lucia (Montero) and Teodoro Santana. She was a homemaker and attended Resurrection Catholic Church. Nieves is survived by son Juan (Denise) Solis of Windermere, FL; sister Georgina Garcia of Miami, FL; and granddaughter Lissette Lieteau of Winter Garden.


The family will be receiving friends at Dobbs funeral Home from 10:00 - 11:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on December 27th, 2010 with Father Justin Vakko officiating. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to VITAS Hospice, 2201 Lucien Parkway, Suite 100, Maitland, FL 32751 in her memory.

Mercedes Lopez


Mercedes Lopez, age 91 of Orlando, passed away Thursday, December 9th, 2010. Mercedes was born in Utaudo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late S. Isabel Segunda Soto Major and Dionicio Lopez. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.


Mercedes leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Carmen Maldonado of Orlando; Providencia Rivera of Apopka; Antonia Harvey of Massachusetts; son Joseph Brant of New York; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.


The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, December 12th, 2010 from 4 until 7 pm at Dobbs Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 13th, 2010 at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Father Joseph Bellerive officiating, followed by interment at Dr. Phillips Cemetery.

Anthony Ralph Marrone


Anthony Ralph Marrone age 89 of Mulberry, Florida passed away on Wednesday, December 1st, 2010. Anthony was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Rosalie (Minafo) and William Marrone. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was employed as a driver for a bus company.


Anthony is pre-deceased by his first and second wives, June and Magdalena and leaves to cherish his memory, son William Marrone; two daughters Diane Carlucci, Denise Papke; two sisters Christine Marrone, Marie Morgigno; grandchildren Joseph Carlucci, Kevin Marrone, Lisa Sawyer, Laura Curtis, Bobby Papke; great-grandchildren Kirsten Papke, Anthony Papke, Kaitlyn Papke, Lindsay Spencer, Allison Curtis, Ryan Sawyer, Jeremy Carlucci-Harris, Justin Carlucci-Harris, Jordin Carlucci-Harris, Ethan Marrone and Elise Marrone.


The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, December 7th, 2010 from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Dobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Harvey Carpenter officiating. The service will start at 7:00 PM on Tuesday. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Wednesday, December 8th, 2010 at 11:00 AM

Teresa A. VeDepo


Teresa A. VeDepo, age 50 of Clermont, FL passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010. She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Nancy Kay (Palmer) and the late Donald Grommon. She was employed as an administrator a Window and Door Corporation, and past owner of Frame-In Unlimited, Inc.


Teresa leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Nancy Kay Palmer; husband, John Michael VeDepo; sons, Dustin Young and Eli Michael VeDepo; brothers, Donald and Rick Grommon; sisters, Renee Daley, Angela Boisseau, Debbie McKee and grandson Lincoln Young.


A memorial service was held at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4th, 2010 at Dobbs Funeral Home followed by a reception at John & Midge's home in Clermont, Florida.
