Nyenye Vishnue Rouff-Greenidge

Nyenye Vishnue Rouff-Greenidge, age 33 of Orlando, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his home.  Nyenye was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 7, 1982, the son of Nyron Greenidge and Avalon Rouff-McDonald.  He was employed as a chef.

Nyenye leaves to cherish his memory, father Nyron Greenidge of Trinidad; mother Avalon Rouff-McDonald and step-fathers Tony McDonald and Roy Marquis of Orlando; 6 children Sinyia, Narayana, Nyejah, Nyla, Anjali Anisha; brothers Nyruba, Royce, Roy, Nigel, Nyamkye; sisters Avella, Natasha, and step siblings Judy and Alex; aunts and uncles Cheryl, Patricia, Sharon, Ishmel, Lester, Norbert Jr., and Don.



The family will be receiving friends at Dobbs Funeral Home from 4:00 until 6:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 2nd, 2016.

Maureen Anne Supplee

Maureen Anne Supplee, age 72, of Orlando, FL passed away Saturday, May 21st, 2016 at her residence.  She was born in Bronxville, NY on February 10, 1944, the daughter  of the late Rita (Meyer)  and Thomas  Murray. Maureen was employed as an administrative assistant in the banking industry and a was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando. 

Maureen leaves to cherish her memory; daughter Suzanne Supplee; sonThomas Supplee; sister Michelle Wittbold, all of Orlando; brother Thomas Murray III, of Santa Barbara, CA; and 2 grandchildren.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 25th , 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, FL  with Father Benjamin officiating.

Gilbert (Gil) Anselm Allard

Gilbert (Gil) Anselm Allard, age 86 of Orlando, FL died on Friday May 13, 2016 after a brief illness.  Gilbert was the son of Joseph and Agatha Allard of Grenville, Grenada.  Gil attended and graduated from Grenada Boys Secondary School where he excelled academically.  Gil was known for his athletic ability in cricket and soccer.  His prowess as a fast-bowler in cricket gained him the nickname “Phantom”.  Gil traveled with several teams throughout the West Indies representing Grenada.

Gil began his career in the housekeeping and laundry industry in Grenada holding several positions throughout the Island.  In 1963, he emigrated from Grenada to Virgin Gorda, the British Virgin Islands to accept a position as Laundry Manager at the Little Dix Bay Resort Hotel. After several years in Virgin Gorda, Gil relocated to St. Thomas, the US Virgin Islands where he managed the Laundry of Blue Beard Garden Apartments, and provided Marketing for a Laundry Service throughout the island.  Gil was actively involved in the Junior Chamber of Commerce of St. Thomas where he served as Vice President, and was also, a member of Toast Masters International.

In 1973, he emigrated from St. Thomas to Houston, TX where he joined his cousin, Dr. Rawle Andrews and accepted an assignment at St. Elizabeth Hospital as the Director of Housekeeping. 

Gil married the love of his life Joan (Griffith) in 1979, and they continued to reside in Houston, TX for eight years.  In 1988 Gil, Joan and their daughter Nicole, moved to San Diego, CA where he served as Manager of Laundry Services at the Le Méridien Hotel.  In 1993, Gil retired and moved his family to Orlando, FL, to be near his sister Ruby, where he resided until his death.

Gil’s life revolved around his wife of 37 years, Joan, his children: Geoffrey, Richard and Nicole, grandsons: Jonathan and Isaiah and extended family.  He was an active and devoted member of Church of the Ascension in Orlando, where he served as an Usher and Greeter and was strengthened in his faith.

Gil is survived by his beloved wife, Joan, sons: Geoffrey and Richard, daughter: Nicole, grandsons: Jonathan and Isaiah, sister: Ruby, brother: Walton, in-laws: Rhonda, Elvina, Marie, Patricia, Marjorie, Vincent, Ezra, Marlene, Frank, Joyce and  Euston, several nieces and nephews (who knew him as Uncle Herbert), cousins, and many devoted friends.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, May 28th at 10:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 at Church of the Ascension located at 4950 S. Apopka-Vineland Road, Orlando 32819.  The family requests no flowers.

Gustavo Joaquim Delgado

Gustavo Joaquim Delgado, age 85, of Ocoee, passed away Thursday, May 19th, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital, Orlando.   He was born in Cape Verde Islands,  on August 20, 1930, the son of the late Joaquim  Delgado and Antonia Delgado and was employed as a barber.

Gustavo leaves to cherish his memory seven daughters, Fabiola Delgado of Paris, France, Katie Delgado of Orlando, Yolande Richardson of Orlando, Marie Christine Temple of Grapevine, TX, Gisele DeBarros of Sanford, FL, Danielle Delgado of Orlando, Casimira Jacques of Kissimmee;  three sons Louis Delgado of Providence, RI,  Joaquim Delgado of Providence, RI, Emmanuel Delgado of West Africa; sister Guiomare Delgado of Cape Verde Islands. two brothers Gregory Delgado of Kissimmee; Philippe Delgado of Providence, RI;  and numerous grandchildren.

A Private family funeral service will be held.

Edward James Carter

Edward (Ed) James Carter was born on December 2, 1957, in Dreieichenhein, Germany. His family and he moved to the United States in 1961 and eventually settled in Orlando, FL, where Ed resided until his death.


He is survived by his parents, Antonio and Hannelore Matias, his siblings: Magnus Carter, Belinda Ugarte, Ronald Carter, and Brad Carter, as well as his Aunt, Erika Bussard, and close cousins: Matthias, Uwe, and Joe Bussard.  Ed was pre-deceased in death by his daughter, Tina Carter.

Linell Kent Lowe

Linell Kent Lowe, age 70, of Winter Garden, FL passed away Saturday, May 14th, 2016.   Linell was born in Salt Lake City, UT on February 9, 1946, the son of Marian (Argyle), of Albuquerque, NM and the late Lynn Lowe and served in the U.S. Army.  He was employed as an electrical engineer in the aerospace industry and member of The Church of  Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Linell leaves to cherish his memory mother Marian Lowe of Alburquerque, NM; wife  Linda  (Blanchard) Lowe of Winter Garden; daughter Kimberly Houck of Clermont; five sons Corey Lowe of Winter Garden, Chad  Lowe of Minneola, Wade Lowe of Winter Garden,  Cody Lowe of Oakland, Derek Lowe of Tarpon Springs; two brothers Marvin Lowe of Logan, UT,  David Lowe of Albuquerque, NM; and 31 grandchildren

The family will be receiving friends at 10:00 am on Friday, May 20th, 2016 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 3001 S. Apopka-Vineland Rd,  in Orlando  with Bishop Dennis Smith officiating. Interment is scheduled for 2:00 pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with military honors.

Sophie France Deprez


Sophie France Deprez

Born on May 19th 1966 in Norwalk, CT, Sophie grew up in neighboring New Canaan. After attending the Brearley School in Manhattan for five middle school years, she graduated from New Canaan High School in 1984, later graduating from Wellesley College. Her career path led  her to San Francisco, where she worked in publishing for Collins Publishers and the Museum of Modern Art. Moving back East, she worked in New York and Baltimore until the dot.com collapse in 2000, when she shifted her interest to fund-raising in New York, first with Memorial Sloan Kettering, then with the Tisch MS Research Center. Sophie’s last career move as Director of Major Gifts at Hunter College was cut short on March 1, 2016, with the diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer. After spending two months in home hospice care at her sister Tae’s home in Orlando, Florida, enjoying the company of many friends, Sophie passed away on May 4.

As youngest of four siblings, Sophie was always the life of the party with her infectious wit, her contagious sense of adventure, her inspiring passion for the arts, and her unmatchable joie de vivre. Her talent for music was expressed with singing, the piano and flute. Sophie is survived by her son Charlie Kry, her parents Andre and Jocelyn Deprez of Winter Park, FL, her sister Marie-Therese Harper of Orlando, her brother and sister-in-law Alex and Colette Deprez of Orlando, residing in Ghana, sister-in-law Susan Walker Deprez of Annandale, VA, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sophie’s family is profoundly grateful to her many loyal friends who rallied round her ceaselessly in New York and Orlando, some coming from afar to render help and loving support, in her final two months. You are the angels who have borne her on high.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Church of the Ascension, located at 4950 S. Apopka-Vineland Rd, Orlando FL 32819.

Howard O Grimes

Howard O Grimes, age 89, of Orlando, FL passed away Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at Florida Hospital in Deland,   Howard was born in Enterprise, AL on March 2, 1927, a son of the late Ethel (Lolly)  and Edward  Grimes.  He was employed as a trucking supervisor.   He loved racing hot rods and NASCAR, fishing and eating fish. He loved a fair fight, boxing, ball games, baseball, football and pulled for the under dog.  

Howard leaves to cherish his memory  daughter, Linda Crockett of Longwood; three sons Stephen Grimes, Jeff Grimes, Mark Grimes all of Orlando; two brothers Willard Grimes of Orlo Vista, Fred Grimes of Tavares;  2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends  from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:30 am on Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 at Dobbs Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Lloyd officiating.  Interment will be at Ocoee Cemetery.

Sandra Cumberbatch-Dodson

Sandra Cumberbatch-Dodson, age 53, of Orlando, FL passed away Saturday, April 30th, at Palm Gardens of Orlando.  She was born in Georgetown, Guyana on March 29, 1963, the daughter of the late Olga Cumberbatch.  Sandra was employed as a Public School Teacher and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.  

Sandra leaves to cherish her memory, husband Stephen Dodson; daughter Sarafina Dodson; son Stephen Dodson, Jr., all of Orlando;  five sisters Gem Oliver of New Jersey; Shelley Thomas of Lutz, FL, June Nurse of Orlando, Claire White of Atlanta, Dawn Cumberbatch also of Atlanta; five brother, Rodrick Nurse of Orlando, Wayne Cumberbatch of Miami, Saif Nurse of Texas, Mark Cumberbatch of New York, and  Colin Cumberbatch of New Jersey.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 6th, 2016 from 1:00 pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando with Father Mariano Catura officiating.  Interment will follow the Mass at Dr. Phillips Cemetery.

Janet Rose Bagnell

Janet R Bagnell, age 82 of Minneola, passed away Friday, April 29. She was born on May 21, 1933 in New York City to Lillian and Fredrick Knobloch. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Edward Knobloch, her husband, Paul Bagnell, and her great-granddaughter, Caylee. She is survived by her son, Robert Bagnell; daughter, Elizabeth Hutchison; 4 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

She had a love of sewing and making clothing blankets for the family. Her love and sincere kindness will be missed by all who knew her. The family will be receiving friends at Dobbs Funeral Home on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 4:00 pm.  

Edna L. Sullivan

Edna L. Sullivan, age 97 of Orlando, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 25, 2016.  Edna was born in Jamaica, West Indies the daughter of Robert and Alice (Ford) Tucker.  She was a homemaker and member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and loved by all who met her.


Edna is predeceased by daughters Linda Smith (December 1972), Myrtle McDonald (December 2012), son Roy Sullivan (December 2015).  She leaves to cherish her memory nine daughters,  Joyce O'Sullivan, of Winter Garden, FL, Vivian Edwards of Jamaica,  Hilda Carter of Jamaica; Marva Perkins of New York, Monica Facey of New York, Lileth Alvarado of Winter Garden; Juliet O'Sullivan of Jamaica, Marlene O'Sullivan, of New York; half-brother Upert McCook of Jamaica and a multitude of grand, great grands and great-great grandchildren. 

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm, followed by the funeral service at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Pastor Steve Ware officiating.  Interment will follow the funeral service at Winter Garden Cemetery.
