He will be always remembered and valued by his friends and family for his quiet ways and the willingness in his heart to help others. May he lay down his tool belt and rest in peace. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 11, 2009 at Dobbs Funeral Home, 430 North KirkmanRoad, Orlando FL 32811.
I was shocked and saddened by Frank's death. My sympathy and prayers are with his entire extended family, Nora Whitman Sannes, Fargo, ND.
ReplyDeleteI borrow the comforting words and wisdom of Robert Fulghum:
ReplyDelete“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge - myth is more potent than history - dreams are more powerful than facts - hope always triumphs over experience - laughter is the cure for grief - love is stronger than death”
Remembering Frank with that sheepish grin... that made you think he was up to something. We had great times back in the 90's when we "boot scooted" together at Cherokee station. We were a loosely knit group of country line dancers that looked forward to seeing each other 2-3 times a week. Dancing together made us seem like kids on the playground again. Good times! Frank's favorite dance must have been "Honky Tonk Attitude" because he was always the first on the floor when that music started!

ReplyDeleteI had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Frank Whitman several years ago. Frank seemed to have a creative flair to him in a way of helping people solve construction, remodeling, repair broken items and outdated home issues. In my opinion he loved helping people by making their lives easier with using his awesome creative ability. Sometimes we would discuss construction related issues he had with other projects he had been working for others. Frank helped me in many projects too numerous to mention. I had the pleasure of working with Frank all the while discovering his very kind creative nature. Frank was a deep thinker. Frank seemed to enjoy being in state of deep thought. Frank helped me solve several perplexing and sometimes difficult construction issue. I will be forever grateful for his creative, kind and gentle ways of solving problems. I will deeply miss my friend who always enjoyed helping others!
I had the opportunity to work with Frank a few times I was in Florida. It was a pleasure to visit with Frank at the end of the day, we would sit and talk about things that make life enjoyable. Frank will be missed but not forgotten. Bob Foote Sandusky Mi.
ReplyDeleteWhat I remember about Frank was how handy he was and how he could fix anything around the house. He helped me on a few occasions fixing problems and doing painting in my house. I also remember how he always had a smile on his face.
ReplyDeleteIn the 90's we would all go line dancing and he seemed to have found his niche.
It was 1994 when Frank joined a bunch of us Country Western line dancing. He seemed quiet, reserved, but smiled easily.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to think that he is really gone.
Elizabeth did a great job writing Frank's curriculum vitae.
I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Frank's family.
I, of course, a newcomer to this blog, but the author does not agree

I officially cant hold out for this smart phone, just 2 days remaining and I simply hope I could get my hands on one,. I have been reading a lot about the Android two.2 update that can come in August, simply another reason to be psyched about this excellent phone. Motorola and Verizon say they will update the phone to Android 2.2 late summer. It will certainly be an over-the-air update. However out-of-the box on its July 15 launch it will probably have Android 2.1.

Thanks Kjeld. Messages here meant a lot to me then and they still do now. The spam ruins it a bit :-) but you know he would have just laughed at that too.
