Ivan McDonald Binns, age 88, passed away in Orlando on Friday, December 30, 2016. He was born in Hanover, Jamaica the son of the late Enos and Elsie (Porteous) Binns. Ivan moved to Central Florida from New Jersey in 1975. He was employed as a commercial electrician and was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Ivan leaves to cherish his memory, wife Wendolin (Johnson) Binns of Orlando; sons Nigel Binns of Las Angeles, Gladstone Binns of East Orange, NJ; sisters Geta Fletcher, Joy Smith both of Jamaica, Mavis Baptiste of Georgia; brother George Binns of England; grandchild Stephone Binns of East Orange, NJ.
The family will be receiving friends at Dobbs Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Thursday, January 5, 2016 at 10:00 am with Father Leo Hodges officiating. Interment will follow the mass at 12:00 noon at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
