Carol Lahr Wojtanowski

Carol Lahr Wojtanowski passed away peacefully in Palm Harbor FL on June 15, 2013 after a long struggle with cancer, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on January 4, 1946 in Illinois, to Elizabeth and John McDonald.  She met the love of her life, Jerome F. Wojtanowski in Chicago where they tied the knot and proceeded to share the next 26 years of their lives together.

Carol enjoyed gardening, cruising and crafts along with her favorite passion Walt Disney World. In 1976 after her first visit to see Mickey Mouse, she started collecting Disneyana. It was very rare to see Carol without something Mickey on her. 1. To the family and friends grieving Miss Carol's passing, I offer you my sincere sympathy. Words don't always ease the pain when you are suffering the loss of a loved one, but I hope you will find some peace and comfort in Jesus' promise of the earthly resurrection(Acts 24:15)when he with the aid of God's holy spirit, will call all those who are now sleeping in death(Job 14:14,15)from the graves, restoring them back to life with the hope of eternal life on the renewed Paradise earth.-John 5:28,29; Luke 23:43. Until that wonderful blessing unfolds, may Jehovah God continue to comfort and bless your family during this grievous time.-Matthew 5:4.

  2. Jeff, Jeanine, and family:
My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your mom and sister. Although your hearts ache for Carol, God can sustain your family though this difficult time. Take comfort in the scriptures, such as Rev. 21:4 which says that one day soon God "will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." We all look forward to that time. Your family is in our thoughts.

  3. I was saddened to hear that Carol had passed away, but what helped bring comfort was to find that the Bible speaks of a time when death will be done away with:

Isa. 25:8, 9: “He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. . . . And in that day one will certainly say: ‘Look! This is our God. We have hoped in him, and he will save us. This is Jehovah. We have hoped in him. Let us be joyful and rejoice in the salvation by him.’”

Also at John 5:28, 29: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.”

I know you will still experience pain, grief, and sorrow but I hope that these scriptures will bring some measure of comfort to you.

  4. To Carol's family........I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. She was a very special friend. I had no idea that she was ill. For the past 12 yrs or so we floated in and out of each other's life. Have tried locating her several times and today, something popped up from Linkedin and I scanned it and saw her name. From there, went to Facebook and found her obituary. Again, I am so sad to hear of her passing.
