Noël Maxwell Barnett

Noël Maxwell Barnett passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving husband and children on Saturday, the 25th of February, 2017.  She transitioned into glory at the age of 68 and is with her Lord and Savior.  Noël fought valiantly against leukemia and her courage and spirituality were an inspiration to all.

Noël was predeceased by her parents, Muriel and Bud Maxwell, and her brother Fred Maxwell. 

She is survived by her adoring husband of 44 years, William B. Barnett; and her children, Pamela Barnett of Philadelphia, PA, Jennifer Seminara of Casselberry, FL, Rebecca Barnett of Atlanta, GA, Molly Barnett of Orlando, FL, Bradford Barnett of Orlando, FL; her 7 grandchildren; and her sister Sande Maxwell of Lorane, OR.

She was an active member of Grace Church Orlando.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to  "Grace Church Orlando" with a note in the memo section "Pastoral Care-Noel".

Noel's memorial service will be held Friday, March 3, at 4:00 PM at Orangewood Presbyterian Church, reception to follow in Parish Hall.

Oma Devi Persaud

Oma Devi Persaud, age 59, of Ocoee, FL passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee.  Oma was born in Georgetown, Guyana, the daughter of the late Sheila (Singh) and Thakur  Persaud and was employed as a seamstress.

Oma leaves to cherish her memory, two sons Wayne Bacchus of Ocoee,  Gavin Lall of Orlando; five sisters, Kathleen Narine, Murth Geer, Etsy Salickram, Yvonne Sataur,  all of Guyana, Monica Algu, of Tampa; three brothers, Rohan Persaud, Rohit Persaud both of Guyana; Robby Persaud of Tampa and 4 grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 9:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 with a traditional Hindu service from 8:00 until 11:00 am on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Dobbs Funeral Home with PT. Sri Krishna Maharaj (Priest) officiating.  Interment will follow at Metro Crematory in Ocoee.

Brijaram Nanda

Brijaram Nanda, age 85, of Saint Cloud, FL passed away Tuesday, February 7th,2017 at Plantation Bay Skilled Nursing Facility, St. Cloud. He was born in Crabwood Creek, Guyana, the son of Anant and Ramdularie  Nanda and was employed as an agricultural farmer.  

Brijaram  is predeceased by his brother and sister Jaipaul Nand (2010), Dywantie Ramoutar (2013), and leaves to cherish his memory wife Lachmin  (Ramjahan) Nanda of St. Cloud;  daughterLovelin Persaud of New York; four sons Lakhram Nanda of New York, Radesh Nanda of St. Cloud,  Vishnu Nandu of Guyana,  Karan Nanda of New York; two brothers, Baijay Anant, of St. Cloud, Satick Anant of Orlando; and 4 grandchildren. 

The family will be receiving friends at Dobbs Funeral Home on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm followed by interment at Metro Crematory in Ocoee with Pandit Anjanie Pedraza officiating.

Elaine Holysz

Elaine Holysz, 88 years old, of Minneola, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.  She was born on March 26, 1928 in Chicago, Il to Edward and Anna Grandowski.

Elaine was married for 60 years to Edwin Holysz until his passing in 2011.  She was a resident in the Orlando area since 1971 where she worked as a photo technician and a realtor.

Elaine’s memory will be cherished by her brother: Edward and his wife Virginia, sister: Ann and her husband Mick, children: Ann and her husband Mark, John and his wife Kendall, and Thomas, grandchildren: Steven, Neil, Kristin and Kyle, great grandchildren: Myles and Olivia, nieces: Anita, Teri, nephews: Gary and Carter with his wife Monica.  The family wishes to extend our thanks to all the support and care from Cornerstone Hospice and Health Central Park.


The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 720 12th Street, Clermont, Fl.  on Saturday, February 4th, 2017.
