Carol A. Filicky

Carol A. Filicky 84, formerly of Johnstown, PA  went to be with the Lord on December 24, 2023. Born July 21, 1939 in Johnstown, PA. and lived in Orlando, FL for the past 43 years.

Preceeded in death by mother, Bertha (Koval) Balicki and son, Robert Filicky.   Survived by daughter Diane Filicky, grandsons Josh and Michael Telleria, and great grandchildren Mia and Elijah Telleria. All of Orlando. 

Former member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Johnstown, PA  and  member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church Orlando, FL.

Carol had a big heart. A great personality and sense of humor with an infectious laugh. A very loving, caring and strong mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

A Religious Service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Dobbs Funeral Home, 430 North Kirkman Road Orlando, FL. Carol will then be flown home to Johnstown, PA where Francis G. Ozog  Funeral Home will receive her and have a mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with interment at Grandview Cemetery.

Mercedes Sanchez

 

Mercedes Fatima Sanchez, age 69, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, suddenly went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2023. Mercedes was born in 1954 in Ecuador, where she migrated to the United States with her family as a teenager. As a teenager, Mercedes learned to sew and made a career as a seamstress. In addition, she had many talents, such as baking beautiful cakes, beautician/barber and nutritionist, and cooking excellent meals, including crocheting. However, Mercedes's most crucial role was as a Warrior of God in her 20s. In her later years, she disciple others to strengthen their walk with The Lord. Mercedes was a servant of God with a substantial serving heart. While in this temporal world, she served anyone in need without hesitation and always gave the best advice.   

Mercedes is survived by her three children, Maryuri, Christian, and Virginia; three brothers, Carlos, Hector, and Alberto; a sister, Patricia; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Mercedes was predeceased by her parents, Vicente and Blanca Sanchez, her sister, Sonnia, and her son, Jose. 

"We know we can't have you here with us, but we're happy knowing you are in our Savior's arms with Abuelito and Abuelita, Titi Sonnia and our Brother Joey."

Bobby Joel Clinton

 


Bobby Joel Clinton, 70 years old born on July 6, 1953 in Orlando, Florida, passed on Tuesday December 19, 2023, at 6:55 PM. He was the first of five children of Joel and Dorothy Clinton. After school he enlisted in the Air Force in which he was Honorable Discharge with the rank of Sergeant. He did various of jobs including Auto mechanic and welder but was retired at time of death.

He is survived by his wife Nimfa Clinton of Orlando, Florida. Daughter Cynthia Clinton, Florida. 2 sons Ira James Quirante Clinton, of Katy, Texas and Cody Allen Quirante Clinton, of Orlando, Florida. Brothers: David Clinton of Georgia, Lewis Clinton of Tennessee. Sisters: Susan Mixon and Cathy Gillingham both of Orlando, Florida. Four grandchildren, five nephews, two nieces, one great-nephew and two great-niece.

Viewing is at Dobbs Funeral Home at 9 AM on December 23, 2023 with service following at 10 AM.

Ida Lindsey Brown

 

Ida Lindsey Brown was born January 5, 1935 in Hanbury district Manchester Jamaica, West Indies, Ida died December 4, 2023 in Orlando, Florida 1 of 5 children to Julia and James Thomas Ida, attended new green primary school in Manchester after leaving primary school Ida went to a dress making school and became a seamstress, she made clothing for men, women, and children. I’d loves to cook, curried goat oxtails, and Favorite was fried dumplings. Family and friends. Love her cooking. She met and Mary, James Brown, James, and Ida migrated to New York in 1969 James and I retired and moved to Florida in 1995 Idaho had two stepchildren, one who proceeded her home later husband James proceeded her home to heaven. Ida was survived by her sister, Dotland Richardson, and Brother, Frederick Thomas. I had left behind nieces and nephews in Jamaica, United States, and Canada.
