Patricia Marie Andreone

 

Patricia “Patti” Marie Andreone, precious Wife, Mother, Grandmother (Mimi), Sister, Aunt, and Friend, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on September 13, 2024.Born in San Diego, California in 1944, she was raised in Whitesboro, New York with her parents Anthony and Mary Jane Arcuri and sisters Carol and Joice. After marrying her soul mate David “Dave” Andreone in 1964 they moved to Orlando, Florida in 1965 to begin their new life, starting a successful business and raising three daughters, Denise, Lorie, and Lisa.

Patti was a force to be reckoned with. She and Dave were extremely involved in several churches, leading music and children’s programs all around the Orlando area. Additionally, she was co-founder of several singing groups including The Young Floridians, Living Circle, and The Fellowship Singers, Fellowship, among others. These groups traveled the globe sharing the love of Jesus with thousands.

An active volunteer in the Orlando area, Patti served at several homeless shelters, The Salvation Army, Youth for Christ, her children’s schools, just to name a few. Known for her amazing cooking, she was famous for showing up unannounced with a delicious Italian meal, her famous Italian Wedding Soup, and her husband’s favorite Italian Birthday cake.  Anything she made was delicious, memorable, and made with love.

When her husband Dave died suddenly on October 26, 2010, Patti was led to begin a widow’s group entitled “On Bended Knee” with her church, Embrace at Monteverde. Through this ministry she helped hundreds of other widows in the Lake County area through a tailored Sunday School class, extracurricular activities, summer symposiums, friendship, love and support.

She adored her grandchildren, as well as her great granddaughter. She would do anything for them and always kept them at the forefront of her life.

Patti is survived by her sister Joice Corridori, her Brother-In-Law Edward Corridori, daughters Denise Andreone-King, Lorie Monroe, Lisa Andreone, grandchildren Mark King, Jacob King, Macy Monroe, London Andreone, and great granddaughter Abigail King as well as countless loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A celebration of her amazing and profound life is planned for October 17, 2024, at Embrace Church of Montverde, 17409 Eighth Street, Montverde FL 34756. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Embrace Church of Monteverde to help with all of the ministries that Patti was dedicated to and passionate about. 

Mark Edward Brown

 

It is with the heaviest hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Edward Brown, 66, of Dr. Phillips, who entered Heaven on Thursday, September 12, 2024, after suffering a cardiac event at home.
 
Mark was an incredible husband, proud father, and adored Grandpa, and Papa. He also held many other cherished roles, including son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, educator, administrator, church usher, and loyal friend. His life was defined by selfless love, kindness, and a deep devotion to his faith, family, and community.
 
He is survived by his wife, Kelly; his sons, Eric (Vicky) Brown of Germany, parents of adored grandchildren Emma and Valentin Brown; Mike (Caley) Brown of Minneola, FL, parents of treasured Grandsons Brody and Cooper Brown; Parents-In-Law Bill and Judy Moss; brother Neal Brown; numerous loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; 
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Betty (Stack) and Clinton Brown; brothers Dale Brown; brother-in-law Jim Moss; Mark’s love for their surviving children—Tim, Jeoff, Jillian, and Isabella—extended far beyond that of an uncle.
 
Born in Missouri on June 14, 1958, the youngest son of Betty and Clinton Brown. Mark grew up as a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church. Mark was an avid sports lover from childhood. He enjoyed playing baseball, tennis and running cross country during his school years, and continued his love for sports throughout college and beyond. Mark taught and coached many teams throughout his life. After attending Southwest Baptist University, Mark taught and coached in Stockton, Missouri. Mark moved to Central Florida, where he raised his two incredible sons, Eric and Mike, alongside their mother, Donna Poston Brown. Mark continued his career where he held titles as teacher, athletic director, assistant principal, and principal. He faithfully served at both West Orange, Jones, Freedom High Schools, Southwest Middle School, and Blankner School, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues. Mark obtained his Masters of Educational Leadership from University of Central Florida.
 
In 2012, Mark married his beloved wife, Kelly. Together they built a life rooted in love and faith. They shared a deep bond for 12 beautiful years with their beloved black lab, Cheyenne. Together they were active members of First Baptist of Orlando, where Mark was a bright presence in the community as an usher and was involved in the Alzheimer’s support ministry.
 
Mark’s passing has left a void that can never be filled, but those who knew him take comfort in knowing he is with Jesus, waiting to welcome us with the same warmth and love he gave so freely in life. Mark taught us all how to love Jesus and others, and we will continue honoring his legacy by living out those lessons. Love Jesus and love one another.
 
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 4:00 PM at First Baptist of Orlando, Henry Chapel, located at 3000 S John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL. A reception will follow at FOP Lodge #25, 5505 Hansel Avenue, Orlando, FL.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Mark’s memory. The family is also requesting written sentiments, photos, cards, and videos to be shared at memoriesofmarkbrown@gmail.com
 
Mark leaves behind a loving legacy of faith, kindness, how he cared for people that will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.

April Nichole Stokes

 

    April Nichole Stokes, a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and greatly loved by many, gained her angel wings surrounded by her loved ones, Friday night August 30, 2024.

April was born March 22, 1978 in Orlando, Fl, 1 month early, which began her trait of always doing things her way! April led a happy childhood but was diagnosed at the age of 12 with Juvenile Diabetes which began taking a toll on her health immediately. Despite dozens of hospitalizations and eye surgeries and the demand has caused on her health, she was determined to have children. With her love, Bill Miller, they have two beautiful, now adult children, Harley Brianne and Kodie Ray Miller. Anyone who knew April or just met her knew what joy and amazement and love they shared. April’s sweet personality allowed her to only see the best in everyone. She adopted Chelsea “Alice” Goetz when she was 14, after her father passed. Thru her relationship with Del Beach she also shared the role of loving mother to Braelynne Beach. She greatly loved her children, those born to her and those chosen by her. April’s love, kindness, generosity and playfulness has and will continue to grow with them throughout their lives.

April’s love of God, animals, art, the beach, all things nature was evidenced thru her selfless day to day life. Annually she participated in Walkathons for the American Diabetes Foundation as a Red Strider and later joined the Breast Cancer Awareness Walks which began her tradition of dying her hair pink along with her bichon Piper! 

April was an amazing artist, creating wall murals, drawings, jewelry, and had a knack of repurposing old broken items into amazing new creations. Towards the end of her illness April painted fantastic, playful murals on all the walls of her bedroom which should belong in a children’s hospital or Disney movie! 

While we are so hurt because she has been taken from us, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is now without pain or suffering and is with our Lord Jesus Christ and those that have passed before her. 

April’s loving spirit is carried on by her children, Harley Miller, Kodie Miller, Alice Goetz, and Braelynne Beach; her mother, Jean and stepfather, Sonny; her grandmother, Theresa Mixon; her brothers Nick Shagena, Darryl Mixon & Mark Long; her sister, Brooke Mixon; along with her step brother, Lance Harrison and step sister, Karla Vega; as well as her brand new niece, Athena Shagena.

She is preceded by her grandparents, Shirley Rachel and William Raymond; and her fathers, Brian Shagena and Duane Mixon.

Evan Mason Beck

 

 

  Evan Mason (Heil) Beck, our talented musician and beloved son went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Known for his celebration of life, commitment to being himself and his desire to find joy, Evan is survived by his parents, Roger and Emiko Beck of Orlando, sister Mikhala Irene Heil (Laura Kakalecz) of Boston, and life partner, Beck Partridge now in Sweden. He is now at rest with his father, Eric Michael Heil, in God’s Eternal Kingdom.

Evan was born December 9, 2005 in Orlando, Florida. He was a shining light to those who knew him. He was a Cub Scout, Tae Kwon Do Black Belt, served as an acolyte and crucifer at All Souls Church Horizon West and Church of the Ascension Orlando, animal lover, All County and All State Florida Music Education Association (FMEA) multiple year participant, Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra member, bassoonist who performed at Church of the Ascension Orlando, cellist who performed at Church on the Drive Orlando and published composter. He graduated a year early and top of his class from Sunshine High School and was attending his third semester at Valencia College where he recently joined the orchestra. More than anything he is our beloved son. We are blessed to have the privilege to love him. We are grateful for God’s grace and mercy in sending Jesus to bring him home. 

A Celebration of Life will take place on the morning of September 20, 2024 at 10:00am, at the Old South Church located at 645 Boylston Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02116.
