I won't say that Debbie lost her battle with cancer. I prefer to believe that cancer finally realized what a valiant fighter she was and gave up...sending her to Heaven where she is being rewarded for her fight with a perfectly healthy new body. No...with Debbie Wolkens Stewart, cancer never won. It never kept her from being her amazingly positive self or from living her active life she loved so much. If I should ever face such a battle, I pray that I would have even just the half of the courage of Debbie. We grieve for our loss, but today, Debbie dances with the angels!

Christ has an amazing new angel at his side. Earth is a little more empty today.

I didn't really get to know Debbie but I know she was a wonderful person. She will be missed by many people. My love and heart go out to the family. The loss of a child, no matter how old, is hard to bare. Know that you are in my heart and prayers. Yvonne Case

I miss you friend! You fought until the end ... just like you said you would. The peace I have is knowing that you are with our Lord right now, and you are in no pain. I can almost see that big white smile just beaming ear to ear as Jesus says to you ... "well done my faithful follower." I love you Deb! I will see you again one day for sure!!! xoxoxo Love, Kim

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." Although Debbie was taken from us much too soon, her time here with us was full of breath taking moments. Love you girl! Until we meet again.....

I found a post on Facebook that Deb wrote about a month ago and it is a testament to the kind of person & friend everybody knew she was...positive, unselfish, and thoughtful. These are her words...I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH I WANT TO SAY TO EACH & EVERYONE WHO HAS TOUCHED MY LIFE SINCE CANCER. IT IS HATED, BUT I'VE SAID IT BEFORE, I'M THANKFUL IN SOME WAYS FOR RECEIVING IT. THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE BECOME SO CLOSE TO ME MAY NEVER HAVE BEEN, SO YOU MUST LOOK FOR THE POSITIVE. I AM SO BLESSED & WANT EACH & EVERYONE TO KNOW IF YOU NEED SOMETHING & I CAN HELP, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I LOVE YOU ALL!

One of the most beautiful and kind people I have ever had the privilege to meet, who left everyone she met with the most beautiful memories. An infectious smile that lit up a room wherever you went is embedded in my head always. We lost a beautiful friend, heaven gained an AMAZING ANGEL. You will be truely missed Debbie ♥
