Known affectionately as "Susie" by her friends, "Suffy" by her family, and "Nunny Susie" by her grandchildren, she is best known in Clarksburg for her 26 years of service as crossing guard at St. Mary's Elementary and Notre Dame High Schools and as a meter maid for the City of Clarksburg. She moved to Orlando, FL, in December 1993, and following the death of her husband in 1994, began work as a paraprofessional working with exceptional education students at Edgewater High School for the next 8 years when she finally retired, three months short of her 80th birthday due to health problems. Known as "Grandma" to all her students and fellow staff, she touched many lives with genuine affection and belief in the abilities of her students. Quick with a smile, a hug, a word of encouragement and/or loving correction, she was always available to anyone who needed her to listen, to advise, to assist in any way she could. A woman of deep yet quiet faith, she was love in action.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. at Dobbs Funeral Home, 430 N. Kirkman Road, Orlando, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to http://www.rockpink.com/, a breast cancer awareness charity and/or Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL, 32714

Look at that smile...What a grand lady she was and will always be that in our hearts... We will miss her hugs and laughter and her uncanny way to be a friend to any and all who had the honor of meeting her and knowing her...I know she is in a better place now...But I sure do miss her already...The dinners at Cracker Barrel and Golden Corral just won't be the same....The boys and I will keep you in our hearts forever....Rest in peace Grandma Fragale...Rest in Peace until we meet again....love always,
Carol, Robby and Chris Hovel
Tony,
She was quite THE huggable, lovable, sweet lady of Edgewater! I wish you and your family peace with the knowledge that she is still smiling on you all.
Best wishes,
Mary Lowry
To the Fragale family:
My condolence to all of you. My prayers and wishes are with you in your time of need.
I know you realize in your knowledge she is in a better place, and for that you are happy. But at the same time, in your heart you have lost a member of the family that can not be replaced regardless of all the good things that can be said about Mrs. Fragale.
Jack Schrenker,
St. Charles Minister to the Sick
My condolences to the Fragale family. She was a wonderful woman.
Gig, I just got out of the hospital today and didn't know your Mom had died. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing her but I am sure she will be truly missed. You have my deepest sympahties.
