Our beautiful mother, grandmother and great grandmother died peacefully February 7, 2015 at her home at Brookdale of Conway. Lillian was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1921 and moved to Winter Garden with her family in 1953. She was preceded in death by her husband Mike, and her daughter Patrice Harper.
She retired from Orange County School System in 1989 with 30 years of service. In her retirement she divided her time between Winter Garden and the family vacation home in New Smyrna Beach. Lillian also enjoyed traveling abroad, spending time with her beloved grandchildren and volunteering in the community. She volunteered at Lucerne Hospital for 16 years and was named "Volunteer of the Year" in 2005.
Lillian accepted people as they were and was uncommonly generous. She was a skilled cook and delighted in baking fancy cakes for all occasions. Her passing is a loss to those who knew and loved her and she will live on in their memories.
Lillian is survived by son Steve Gerent of Mandeville, LA; daughters Michele Gerent of Holiday, Melanie Parks of Edgewater and Teri Gerent (Wendell Perdue) of Orlando; grandchildren, Raymah Satterly, Eric Buss, Ginger Arias, Michael Gerent and 6 great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held at a later date.

I am sorry for your loss please accept my sincere condolences. I hope you will find your strength and comfort in Jesus promises of the earthly resurrection(:Acts 24:15) and the renewed Paradise earth, where death will be no more and no family will have to mourn the death of a loved ever again. Revelation 21:3,4; Luke 23:43. May GOD(Psalms 83:18) grant you peace and comfort now during this grievous time.-Matthew 5:4.
