Josephine Scambia, age 89, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017. She was born in Reggio Calabrio, Italy, the daughter of Demitrio and Francesca (Scambia) Cuzzocrea. Josephine was employed as an education professor.
Josephine leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Kathy Trisotto of Sarasota; son Robert Scambia of Clermont; sisters Millie Figari, Clara Figari both of Sarasota; Gloria Basile of New Jersey; 5 grandchildren, Chrissy, Ricky, Robert, Michael, David; 2 great-grandchildren, Gianna and Sam.
The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Dobbs Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic, located at 720 12th Street, Clermont, FL 34711.

I would like to offer my condolences for your loss. I hope you will find comfort in knowing that Jehovah, the God of all comfort, will soon eliminate all grief and provide permanent consolation when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Christ’s] voice and come out”! (John 5:28, 29) God promises that “he will do away with death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Isa. 25:8) Then, instead of having to “weep with those who weep,” all earth’s inhabitants will “rejoice with those who rejoice.”—Rom. 12:15.
