Louvenia Barbara Shaw, age 82, was born in Umatilla, Florida the daughter of Bobby Holsey and Priscilla Brown. She was an only child and was raised by her aunt Hattie Holsey in Umatilla, after the passing of her beloved mother at the age of 2.
Louvenia was the mother of seven children, Leonard Holsey, George Shaw Jr., Alvin Shaw, Timothy Shaw, Mary Shaw, Bernita Shaw and Sheila Henderson. Even though early in her life she lost her three boys Alvin, Timothy and George Jr., and her daughters Mary and Bernita due to tragedy, unforeseen accidents and suffered many medical setbacks, she always held on to her faith in God and He showed himself mighty in her life.
Louvenia "Nanny" as we call her, loved to bake and would often make "goodies" for the family to enjoy. She was a great cook and Thanksgiving was one of her favorite holidays. She loved to gather the family and see all her children and grandchildren together in fellowship.
The Lord in His infinite wisdom deemed it timely to call our beloved Louvenia "Nanny" to her eternal resting place in a quiet and peaceful way on April 19, 2018.
Louvenia leaves to cherish her memory, son Leonard Holsey Sr.; daughter Sheila Henderson; grandchildren Byron Shaw, Nikita Holsey, Joseph Fudge Jr., Leon Holsey, Jr., Nashard Geather, Markice Shaw, Gloria Shaw, Timothy Holsey, Jasmine Powell, Amber Powell; great grandchildren Kiera Fudge, Byron Shaw Jr., Dolante Shaw, Dovante Shaw, Dessiah Holsey, Lauren Henderson, Teigan Holsey and other relatives and friends.

I am sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. I hope the family will find some comfort and strength in Jesus promise of the earthly resurrection(Acts 24:15)and the renewed Paradise earth, where death will be no more and no family will mourn the death of a loved one.-Revelation 21:3,4;John 5:28,29;Luke 23:43. may GOD(Psalms 83:18)grant you peace and comfort now, during this grievous time.-Matthew 5:4.
It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love; and when it happens , the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your love one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your love one is up in heaven. The bible, holds a out a much different hope. At Job 14:14,15, it says that the God of comfort Jehovah, yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them alive on earth. I really hope this thought brings family and friends comfort.
