Darrell Lawrence McQueen, 67, passed away on December 20,
2022 after a long illness. Darrell was born in Orlando, Florida and spent his
early years in Orlando. He moved to Atlanta, GA after graduating
with honors from Florida A&M University in 1977. Darrell made his home
there and lived in the Atlanta area for 44 years. He worked for the US Postal
Service as a clerk for 34 years before retiring in 2020. He was an
avid sports fan and loved the Atlanta Braves, Orlando Magic and
the Miami Dolphins.
He is survived by his loving sister, Juanita E. McQueen of
Orlando, FL and brother, Randall C. Watts Jr. of Gainesville, VA, three nieces,
Courtney L. Frazier of Orlando, FL, Amber N. Watts of Los Angeles, CA, Jordan
A. Watts of San Antonio, TX, and one nephew, Randall C. Watts III of San
Antonio, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Katie L.
Golden and William McQueen, both of Orlando, FL.
