In Loving Memory of Vikki Reiko (Nohara) Zettler:
April 10, 1933 - January 25, 2020
Vikki passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside. She was a beloved and honored wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children Matt & Susan (Roberts) Zettler, Christina Zettler, Rose Zettler, Aime Z. & Randy Clarke, grandchildren Elizabeth and Adam Cunningham, great-grandchildren Taven, Amaya, Jenna, and Bria Rose Cunningham of Central Florida, brother Hidetoshi & Naoi Nohara and their son Toshihiko, niece Takako Nohara, Taeko Nohara, and nephew Akira & Kiyomi Nohara from Naha, Okinawa Japan, and sister-in-law Therese (Zettler) Binkley, as well as dozens of relatives in Canton, Ohio.
Reiko Nohara (Nobaru), daughter of Eiko and Nae Nohara, met Anthony Zettler in 1951 while Tony was stationed in Naha, Okinawa Japan as a U.S. Airman during the Korean War. He managed and sang at the Naha Airmen's Club called the "Copa Cabana" at Peon Plaza. Vikki was drawn to Tony because of his lovely singing voice. They fell in love and married at a Catholic Mission in Naha, Okinawa, then moved to Canton, Ohio where they shared a happy and fulfilling family life. She enjoyed the "funnest" job in the world as a decorator-crafts person at Disney World for 27 years. Vikki was highly respected by her peers and coworkers.
Her spiritual care was attended to by Father Paul Henry and Father Barry Dowd. She was a very devout Catholic and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She provided decades of support to the Holy Family school and to the building of Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine and Basilica in Orlando, Florida.
