On January 24, 2020, Vivian Keeling Rowell passed away.
Vivian was born and raised on a farm in Walhalla, North Dakota. She moved to
Minneapolis where she taught elementary education while earning her Bachelors,
graduating in 1956. Out of five thousand graduating students, she sat only two
rows away from her husband-to-be. Vivian married Theodore Rowell and moved to
Baudette, Minnesota, where they raised their five children. When their children
were grown, they relocated to Orlando, Florida. A devout and faithful Catholic,
Vivian was involved in church activities, pro-life causes, and the Blue Army
group, where she was a leader. Vivian never hesitated to help anyone in need,
from giving rides to visiting friends in nursing homes. She loved Sunday drives
with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren, and organizing family
gatherings. She is survived by her husband Ted; their five children: Joe
(Laura) Rowell, Anne Rowell, Mary (Michael) Minyon, John (Veronica) Rowell and
Bill (Tara) Rowell. She is also survived by her siblings Clarence, Leo, Jean
Anne and Darlene; her thirteen grandchildren: Victoria, Megan, Tom, Chrissie,
Johnny, Rachel, Jane, Allistaire, Theodore, Will, Miles, Robby and Kate.
She was proceeded by her parents Harold and Victoria, her
siblings Nora, George and Harvey as well as sister-in-law’s Dorris and Marge,
and brother-in-law Don.
Visitation will be at Dobbs Funeral Home on Kirkman on
January 28, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be held at Incarnation
Catholic Church in Orlando on January 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers
or in memory of Vivian, the family requests donations to Incarnation Catholic
Church or JMJ Pregnancy Center.
