Doyle Carlton Peacock

Doyle Carlton Peacock age 83 of Orlando passed away on Thursday, April 26th, 2012 in Ocoee, Florida.  Doyle was a lifelong Floridian born in Ocoee, Florida on February 14, 1929, the son of the late Maudie (Underwood) and Zeb Carson.  He served in the U.S. Navy and was employed as a drapery and interior installer.  He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Central Florida, Orlando.

Doyle leaves to cherish his memory sister, Hattie Allene Davis of California; grandsons Carlton and Richard Peacock both of Orlando; granddaughter Holly Peacock of Altamonte Springs and daughter-in-law Brenda Peacock of Orlando.  The family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 30, 2012 from 6 - 8 pm at Dobbs Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Central Florida, Orlando at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 with Pastor Clayton Cloer officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery in Sanford, Florida.

Deborah Starr Soucey

Deborah Starr Soucey, age 59 of Orlando, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012.  Deborah was born in Syracuse, New York the daughter of Jeanne Roberts and the late Robert Ingwersen.  She was employed a a medical Technologist for Bio Pharmaceuticals and was a member of The American Society of Clinical Pathology.  Deborah leaves to cherish her memory, husband, James L. Soucey of Orlando; mother, Jeanne Roberts of Cocoa Beach, Florida; stepmother, Pat Ingwersen of Melbourne, Florida; two daughters, Lara haynes of Orlando, Amanda (Steven) Brooks of Orlando; two sisters Tami (Jerry) Munden of North Carolina, Robin Ingwersen of Indialantic, Florida; three brothers, Mark (Geri) Ingwersen of Maryland, Michael Roberts of Melbourne, James (Marcy) Ingwersen of Illinois; and 5 grandchildren.  A Memorial Service will be held at Dobbs Funeral Home, Orlando Florida at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 28th, 2012 with Pastor Thomas Hensley officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Deborah's name to http://www.bestfriends.org/.

Stephen Geary

Dr. Stephen Geary, Ph.D. of Brandon, Florida and a seasonal resident of Old Lyme  Connecticut, died peacefully on April 24, 2012.  He was the loving husband of Mrs. Ruth Mary Doyle Geary.  Born on November 7, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Springfield, MA, Dr. Geary was the fourth son born to the late Fredrick Lawrence and Catharine Mary (Callahan) Geary.  After receiving his undergraduate degree from Tufts University, Dr. Geary served as an officer in the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of First Lieutenant.  Upon his discharge from the army Dr. Geary received his Masters from the University of New Hampshire and Ph.D. from Syracuse University.  Dr. Geary's early career was with Perkin Elmer in Connecticut and he spent his final professional years with BioAnalytical Systems in West Lafayette, IN.  He and his wife retired to Brandon, Fl.  Dr. Geary, "Papa", always looked forward to coming home to Old Lyme, CT. to spend time with his grandchildren and extended family.  He was known for his Christmas Gingerbread houses, love of history, and world class breakfasts. 

In addition to his beloved wife, Dr. Geary is survived by three daughters, Maura Ruth Cochran, and her husband Alex of Rocklin, CA; Margaret "Margy", Geary Grant, and her husband Matthew of Orlando, FL and Elizabeth doyle Lardio, and her husband Anthony "Tony", of Shorewood, MN; eight grandchildren, Catherine and Abigail Cochran of Rocklin, CA; Michael, Grace and Sean Grant, of Orlando, FL and Kenneth, Alex, and Shannon Lardio of Shorewood, MN.  He is also survived by four brothers, Dr. Frederick L. Geary of Old Lyme, Ct, and his wife Teresa, Dr. William J. Geary of West Hartford, CT and his wife Marcia, Dr. Thomas J. Geary of Essex, Ct and his wife Janice, and Mr. Michael E. Geary, of Medway, MA and his wife Cynthia and dozens of nieces and nephews.  Dr. Geary was predeceased by his parents and brother John Peter Geary.

   
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May fifth at ST. JOHN CHURCH, at 161 Main St Old Saybrook, Ct at 10:00 a.m.  burial in Duck River Cemetery, Old Lyme, CT.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the Geary Scholarship at Central Connecticut State University.  Online guestbook at http://www.dobbsfuneralhome.com/
