Melina Christine Denson

Melina Christine Denson, age 17 passed away in Orlando on May 6, 2013.  Born in Orlando, Florida she was a student at Olympia High School.  She leaves to cherish her memory, parents Tim and Babita Denson; brothers Travis Denson and Eric Lokie and friends who love her very much and always will.

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!"  "Gone where?"  Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear the load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!" There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: "Here she comes!" And that is dying.

I was saddened to hear that Melina had passed away, but what helped bring comfort was to find that the Bible speaks of a time when death will be done away with:

Isa. 25:8, 9: “He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. . . . And in that day one will certainly say: ‘Look! This is our God. We have hoped in him, and he will save us. This is Jehovah. We have hoped in him. Let us be joyful and rejoice in the salvation by him.’”

Also at John 5:28, 29: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.”

I know you will still experience pain, grief, and sorrow but I hope that these scriptures will bring some measure of comfort to you.

Please accept my sincere condolences for the passing of your precious Melina. I pray you will find peace and comfort from the Holy Scriptures. Just imagine having the same joy the parents of the 12 year old little girl had when Jesus awakened her from the grip of death(Luke 8:49-56) restoring her back to life, your sorrow now, will be turned into joy when Jehovah God grants His Son, Jesus Christ the power of the resurrection to raise and restore back to life all those who are sleeping in death from the graves.-John 5:28,29. To live again with the prospect of eternal life on the renewed paradise earth.-John 11:38-44; Luke 23:43. Until you are reunited with your precious child, may God continue to comfort and bless your family.-Matthew 5:3.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Melina. Losing a loved one is something we all wish we never had to deal with. Be comforted in klnowing that Jehovah God promises that soon "death will be no more". His Word, the Bible, also describes death as being like sleep from which a person can be gently awaken. (John 11:11-14) Find comfort in knowing that Melinda is just "sleeping" until she is awaken back to life in a peaceful paradise earth. (Psalms 37:29). Sincere sympathies.
