Cathryn Elizabeth Bryant

Cathryn Elizabeth Bryant of Winter Garden, Florida went home to be with the Lord after her battle with brain cancer on April 5 at 7:50 PM.

Cathy was born in Texas on March 25, 1963.  She moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico, at age 12 with her sister (Cindi) and parents (WB and Martha Cox).  There she met and married her high school sweetheart and husband of 34 years.  Bart and Cathy have two daughters (Kristen and Michelle) and two son-in-laws (Zach and Justin).  They also have two grandsons (Rylan and Shea) and one granddaughter on the way (Aubrey).

Cathy had a passion for children’s ministry and worked on staff at the First Baptist Church of Windermere until she decided to travel with Bart full-time on the PGA Tour.

Cathy was extremely outgoing and had the gift of hospitality.  She had a natural way of reaching out to everyone.  She always remembered names!  She loved to laugh.  She loved her family deeply.  She loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind and strength.  Cathy, your friends and family miss you so much but are glad that today you are truly healed!  And we celebrate your new life!

Cathy’s Celebration of Life Ceremony will be at the Church at the Cross in Orlando on Monday, April 10, at 2:00 pm.

Receiving line starts at 1:00 pm.

Reception following the service.

In lieu of flowers any donations should be made to The House of Hope Orlando, would be appreciated.  P.O. Box 560484, Orlando FL 32856.

What a beautiful service. Thank you all for making it possible for those of us to celebrate on line her beautiful life. Her kindness and smile were always apparent to me through the years! Early Tour Life, was not so glamorous with our young babies and figuring out how to be mommies, and travel the tour life. I always enjoyed my time with Cathy. I'm sorry, through the changes in my personal situation, that I became separated from the tour life and lost touch with you all. I had been able to follow her the past year on facebook and pray for you all from Tampa. God Bless you all, as you move forward in your grief and take the time to celebrate and cry. Hugs to you. What a beautiful service for a most beautiful woman. I will forever remember how genuine, loving, and caring Cathy was, and how she so passionately loved God and easily shared that passion. Heaven called home one of it's angels way too soon, but the love she shared while here remains. God bless. We love you.

I was a Volunteer at the Bob Hope Classic a few years back, working in transportation. Had the privilege of picking up Cathy at the airport and driving her to a local hotel. In my eleven years, I never met such a kind, engaging player's wife. Such a nice person. Remember that day all these years later and was very shocked and saddened to hear of her passing last night. Remember the good times. So glad our paths crossed, even though it was brief.

Our deepest sympathy to you Bart, Kristen, Michelle and Family. Cathy was such a beautiful, kind, sweet woman. Its been many years since we were neighbors in Ventura and when I saw Cathy's name, I prayed it wasn't her. Gone too soon. Keeping you all in our prayers.

Bart, Kristen and Michelle, so sorry for your loss. Cathy was a wonderful lady. It's been a long time since I've seen you guys, but had been praying for Cathy since learning of her cancer diagnosis. My wife and I are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

I just learned of Cathy's illness and passing. I first knew Cathy 25+ years ago - she hired me to work with the children's ministry at the first Baptist Church of Windermere. You could see the light and love in her eyes when she spoke of her faith, her family, and the children she served. What a great loss. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Donna Mott

I consider myself merely the vessel that held these words until they could be written. I hope it brings your family peace.

Sing, Wounded Soul

I cannot hold your cries,
they slip through my fingers.
I cannot take away your pain,
it lies so far beyond my reach.
I cannot dig out your sorrow,
its roots are too deep.
I cannot chase away your fears,
they hide and creep out later.
I can only tell you, you are loved.
So, sing, wounded soul…
your tears do not fall into emptiness.
