Joyce Dolores McGregor

Joyce Dolores McGregor passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 4:20 pm in Orlando, Florida. Joyce was born on November 22, 1939 to the late Lurlean Louisa McKinney and Ivan White in Guabito, Panama. She was the eldest child of three and known to her siblings and friends as “Cutie”.

In 1960, Joyce arrived in New York where she began her career in healthcare. She was married in 1965 and had three daughters, Denise, Maxine, and Antonette. The family moved to Florida in the mid 70’s where she found a rewarding career in childcare. In Florida, Joyce positively impacted the lives of many with her kindness and loving spirit. She was an active member of Abundant Life Church, a business owner, director of a preschool in Orlando, and was determined to get her high school diploma, which she achieved at the age of 70.

God guided Joyce home to be with Him where she will no longer have pain and suffering. We are so blessed and honored to have had her in our lives and she will live eternally in our hearts. Joyce was born on Thanksgiving and passed away around a holiday of love. She is predeceased by her daughter, Denise (2012), and her brother, Enrique (2018). She is survived by her daughters, Maxine and Antonette, granddaughters, Nicole, Kayla, and Meagan, great-granddaughters, Aaliyah and A’Lani, her sister, Shirley, and a host of nieces, cousins, and other relatives and sorrowing friends. Rest In Peace.

The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 until 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Dobbs Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 4:30 pm with Reverend Craig Daugherty officiating.

I am sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. I hope the family will find some comfort and strength in Jesus promise of the earthly resurrection(Acts 24:15)and the renewed Paradise earth, where death will be no more and no family will mourn the death of a loved one.-Revelation 21:3,4;John 5:28,29;Luke 23:43. May GOD(Psalms 83:18)grant you peace and comfort now, during this grievous time.-Matthew 5:4.

To the family and friends, I may not know you personally but after reading this obituary, your dear loved one must have been a wonderful person. The bible teaches " there is going to be a resurrection"- acts 24:15. Most people who have died will be resurrected. At John 5:28, 29 Jesus promised that " those in the memorial tombs will... come out". We can believe this because God has resurrected humans in the past and is eager to do it again because he hates death and views it as an enemy. 1 Corinthians 15:26. I engage in this activity because I am genuinely interested in comforting those who have lost a loved one. Have you ever asked what happens to us when we die? Is there any hope for the dead? Can the dead really live again? I encourage you to visit JW.ORG for more information that highlight what the bible teaches on various subject matters.
