Luis was a warm, loving man known
for his kindness, charm, love for life and family, generosity, razor-sharp
memory, and unforgettable smile. An avid baseball fan, his greatest joy was in
spending time with his family. He was humble and hard-working, retiring from
Lake Terminal Railroad after 35 years of service. Just as strong as he was
gentle, Luis was a shining example of integrity and unwavering faith. He
tirelessly served others within the Charismatic movement, Los Cursillos, Santo
Nombre Men’s Group, and as both a Eucharistic Minister and Treasurer for Sacred
Heart Chapel in Lorain, Ohio.
Luis is reunited with his wife of
over 60 years, Luisa V. Rodriguez (4/26/2013), and leaves to cherish his memory
son Edwin Velasquez (wife Robin) of Winter Garden; daughter Nicza Carrion
(husband Louis) of Windermere; as well as his adoring grandchildren Stefanie

grandchildren, Melina and Marisa Davis, Jaxden and Giana Colon, and Marky.

I am sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. I hope the family will find some comfort and strength in Jesus promise of the earthly resurrection(Acts 24:15)and the renewed Paradise earth, where death will be no more and no family will mourn the death of a loved one.-Revelation 21:3,4;John 5:28,29;Luke 23:43. May GOD(Psalms 83:18)grant you peace and comfort now, during this grievous time.-Matthew 5:4.
“[God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more.”—REV. 21:4. This is what God promises. Very soon, here on earth, it will come true.
