He built and co-owned Scotsdale Apartments in Coralville Iowa until 1976. He was instrumental in overseeing and developing the subdivisions of Quail Creek in North Liberty and North Ridge in Coralville, IA.

Semi Retirement led Dale and Alta to Florida as snowbirds and to be near their son when he became the PGA Professional in 1980 at Cape Orlando Golf Course. As a member of Union Park Baptist Church, Dale then used his contracting abilities and talents to oversee and build the church’s Christian Life Center in 1984. He served for many years as a Deacon and Adult Sunday School Teacher.

He became a member of First Baptist Orlando in 2010, where he actively volunteered and served in numerous capacities for the Lord up until his illness and was so enriched by all of the members in the Victory Life Group Class.
