The soul is never born, nor does it ever die nor having been both before, will it be born in the future.  The soul is unborn, eternal, imperishable and ancient. Though this body is slain,
 the soul is not killed.

Just as a person gives up his old clothes to put on new ones, so does the embodied soul Loving discarded worn-out bodies, put on new one.
