The majority of her time was spent at Cooper, Simms, Nelson & Mosley Insurance, sun State Insurance, and finally, Hugh Cotton Insurance, where she worked for nearly 25 years. She enjoyed her work, as it allowed her to interact with many people who she considered not just customers, but friends. Many of them considered her to be a treasure as well, due to her attention to detail and her concern that all of their needs be met to the best of her ability.

Anne spent her time reading mysteries voraciously and loving her cats. She loved the beauty of the NC mountains, especially the waterfalls. She also had quite the green thumb - especially with African violets. The wind chimes she collected will lead to fond memories stirring with every breeze that passes by.
