William Addison Call

William (Bill) A. Call, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at his home in Orlando. He was born January 25, 1938, in New Albany Indiana to Hobert and Frankie Call.  He was a graduate of New Albany High School class of 1956. After a short stent at Purdue University, he was drafted into the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1968.  He married Cynthia (Tucker) Call on June 13, 1970.  William worked as a mechanical engineer with ABC controls where he designed HVAC control systems for large buildings like the Orange County Convention Center.  Bill was a family man who loved spending time with his wife and children.  Bill had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes to anyone who would listen.  He was an active member of his church where for many years he donated a lot his time.  He had a kind heart and loved helping others. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; sons Randy (age 43) and Chris (age 41); daughter Cathy (age 38); and grandchildren Austin (age 18), Caleb (age 17), Alyssa (age 8) and Brandon (age 6). 

Family, friends, and other whose lives Bill touched are invited to the Church at the Cross, 700 Good Homes Road, Orlando.  Viewing begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. to honor his life.

Mrs. Kathryn Fisher Henry

Kathryn Fisher Henry, age 100, wife of deceased husband James William Henry, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ January 31,2019. Kathryn accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at the age of nine and had the unique joy of being baptized with her father at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Robertson County. In later years she worked in Sunday School with students and loved being a part of God’s forever family. She was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonvillle, Tennessee.

She was born in Springfield, Tennessee, to the late Marshall and Hazel Pope Fisher. Kathryn received her high school degree from Orlinda High School and Draughns Business College. Her secretarial skills led her to work as a part time secretary at Belmont University, and later as church secretary at First Baptist of Nashville Eastland and Dalewood churches. She also worked as Media Buyer for Culbertson, King, and Condiles Advertising and in Retail and Special Events at Gaylord Opryland Hotel.

Kathryn is survived by her brother Jack Fisher of Springfield ,two sons, Jim (Jeanette) Henry of Orlando Florida and Joe (Kim) Henry of Nashville; five grandchildren ; eleven great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers for Kathryn are Danny de Armas, Asa de Armas, Seth de Armas ,Stan Campbell, Mike Henry, David Henry, James B. Henry III, Trey Henry, and Will Henry. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Carey, Walt Robinson, Steve Smith, George Aust, Bob Clement, Bruce Corbin, Ron Jackson, and Harris Scott.

Jeanette Sue Henry

Orlando, Florida - Jeanette Sue Sturgeon Henry, age 79, wife of Pastor James “Brother Jim” Henry, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ February 4, 2019, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.

Jeanette was born February 22, 1939, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to the late Samuel and Bertha Mae Sturgeon. She earned her high school diploma from Hiseville High School.  After high school, Jeanette attended Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky where she met Jim during her freshmen year of 1957.  They married on December 27, 1959, and shortly thereafter they moved to New Orleans so Jim could attend New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She later graduated Cum Laude from Belmont University in 1969, all while caring for three children and her husband!!

Jeanette accepted Jesus as her personal Savior and was baptized at the age of 9 during Vacation Bible School at Salem Baptist Church, Cave City, Kentucky.

For nearly 60 years, Jeanette was a pastor’s wife.  This journey took them to churches in Mississippi, Tennessee and Florida.  Jeanette possessed a graceful strength in her role as a pastor’s wife that earned her the love and admiration of the people they pastored from the smallest churches in Mississippi to the largest church in Orlando, Florida.  She was a unique blend of “blue grass and classical” that allowed her to connect with people from all walks of life.

Jeanette always found a place to make her mark in ministry alongside Jim’s pastoring.  She worked with children, cooked thousands of meals and led a large Sunday School class for adults during her years of ministry.  She was probably best known for her love of teaching the Bible.  The impact of her teaching still lingers in the lives of hundreds who are still members at First Baptist Church Orlando or have scattered to other churches around the country.  She also spoke at women’s events and pastors’ wives’ events around the country.  Her legacy can be marked by her receiving the Willie Turner Dawson Award for "distinct denominational contribution beyond the local church."

Jeanette’s dearest love, after Jesus and Jim, was her children and she devoted herself to their care with her time, attention, participation and unconditional love. She was fiercely committed to ensuring that her children did not grow up with the usual pressures that are often placed on pastors’ children.  She guarded and protected their freedom to be the children, teenagers and eventually, the adults that God created them to be.  She was always the voice of reason and the source of stability and strength for her family in the whirlwind of their exciting life!

Jeanette is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jim Henry and three children: Kate (Ira) Campbell, Betsy (Danny) de Armas, and Jim II (Tammy) Henry.  She has 5 grandsons: Trey Henry and Will (Leah) Henry in Nashville, TN; Caleb (Cali) de Armas in Ft. Benning, GA; Seth (Catherine) de Armas and Asa (Kinsey) de Armas in Orlando, FL.  She also has 5 great-grandchildren: Shiloh, Belle and Theodore de Armas (Caleb and Cali), SusanJane de Armas (Asa and Kinsey), Sturgeon de Armas (Seth and Catherine). Brothers Bobby Sturgeon of Cave City and Larry Sturgeon of Washington DC.

Justin Levi Milroy

Justin Levi Milroy of Clermont, FL

February 12th 1999 to January 27th 2019. 

On Sunday morning, he peacefully died of unknown causes. 

He is survived by his parents Jeff and Kathy (Worsham) Milroy. Older sister Kayla, older brothers Jayson and Kyle. Twin brother Jared, and younger brother Keenan. 

Justin was a homeschool graduate who enjoyed playing football, baseball, and basketball at Central Florida Christian Academy. In all spheres of his life, Justin impacted many with his servants heart. He loved well. 

He took pride in his work as a custom boathouse and dock builder in the local community. Justin was passionate about living out his faith in Jesus Christ. He loved time with his family,  and especially cherished his girlfriend and best friend Aimee. 

Services will be held on Saturday February 2nd, at Church at the Cross (700 Good Homes Rd. Orlando FL)   Friends and family will be received beginning at 12:30pm. Service to follow at 2pm. 

Frank E. Warner

Frank E Warner, 74, suddenly passed away on 12/26/2018, in Orlando Florida after a severe head trauma. He was not in pain and passed peacefully at Cornerstone Hospice of Orlando. By his side were his wife Janice, son Michael, granddaughter Brittani, grandson-in-law Cody and nephew Robert.

Frank E. Warner was born 1/28/1944 to the his parents Ethel & Oscar Warner in Lynn MA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Charles & Carl Warner along with his sister Elmyra (Warner) LeBlanc.

Frank is survived by his wife Janice (Curtin) Warner, his son Michael and wife Denise (Andracki) Warner, granddaughter Brittani (Warner) Roberts and husband Cody. Several Nieces, Nephews and spouses including; Ed & Donna LeBlanc (MA), Kim & David Dow (NH), Ellie & Rick Lancaster (ME), Scott & Mary Leblanc (NH), George & Wendy LeBlanc (NH), Debbie (Warner) Owings (FL) and along with all of their children, grandchildren.

Frank was a supportive brother-in-law to Sal & Marilyn Indorato.  He was also a Proud Uncle to their children; Timothy, Tina and Robert ‘Marilyn (Curtin) Indorato - Deceased 12/13/2018’

Frank was raised in Lynn Mass. He was a proud graduate from Essex Aggie Class of 1961.  He was a baseball coach at West Lynn Little League, a Scout leader of Troop 34 and enjoyed DJing parties for family and friends. He retired from General Electric in 1987, later moving his family to Orlando Florida in February of 1988 during a blizzard. He had a great love of all music and enjoyed DJing as a hobby to what later became a great business in Florida with his son. Eventually he fully retired in December of 2014.

JoAnn Allison

JoAnn Allison, 75, of Groveland, FL, passed away on Wednesday, January 9^th, 2019 in Orlando, FL.

JoAnn, or JoJo as her loved ones called her, was born in Gadsden, AL on October 12, 1943.  She married her Junior High School sweetheart BJ Allison, September 3, 1962 and they were blessed with three beautiful daughters - Camille, Yvonne and Jennifer.  Being an only child, she always desired to be a part of a large family.  God abundantly fulfilled this longing with twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They were the center of her life.   

JoAnn worked as secretary for Central Florida Christian Academy and First Baptist Central Florida for over 30 years.  She had a passion for serving and ministering. 

JoAnn is preceded in death by her father, JP Tolleson, mother, Ruby Tolleson, and husband BJ Allison. 

She is survived by her three daughters, Camille Allison Moore (Alan), Yvonne Allison Bywater (Rick), Jennifer Allison Dyal (Jeff), grandchildren, Ryan Moore (Rebecca), Rachael Johns (Eric), Andrew Clarke, Jordan Clarke, Leah Dinnan (Christopher), Benjamin Moore, Daniel Moore, Cameron Bywater, Cooper Bywater, Emma Dyal, Sydney Dyal, and Olivia Dyal, great grandchildren, Dawson Johns, Payton Johns, Addison Johns, Ava Moore, Landon Johns, Stirling Moore, mother-in-law Louise Allison, brother and sister in Law Arthur and Debbie Allison, and three nephews Chad Allison, Derrick Allison, and Jared Allison.

James Kenneth Bradfield

 (1945-2019)

James Kenneth Bradfield (known affectionately as Kenny) died on Saturday, January 5th, sitting beside his loving wife.  He died from the heart disease which afflicted him for 36 years, but no longer. He honorably served in the US National Guard and was the first Bradfield to graduate from high school. Kenny worked as a printer and most recently as a truck driver, but he will be remembered by most as an avid outdoorsman, handyman, and hunter. In 1998, he converted to Catholicism and worked tirelessly- until his passing- with RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) to bring people to the faith. He is now reunited with his beloved mother, father, father & mother-in-law, sister, uncles, and friends.  

He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years-Helen-, his daughter- Erin-, his sons-Kenny, Matthew & Daniel-, his daughters-in-law-Cara & Jackie-, & everyone whose life he brightened. He will be remembered by his friends and family as a loving husband, devoted father, caring friend,  and proud Southern Gentleman. While he lived in Florida, he always considered Virginia his homeland.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm  (wake service at 7:00 pm) on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Dobbs Funeral Home. The funeral mass will beheld at 8:30 am on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Albert R. Griffith

Albert R. Griffith, 75, of Orlando, died April 8, 2018. Our loving father went to be with God at 4:10 AM, with his family by his side.  Albert "Reese" Griffith always put others above himself and was devoted to that ideal throughout his life.   We all knew him as Butch, Reese, Al, Dad, Sir, Big Al, Big Papa and Grandpa.   Born in Sharon, PA, he found the love of his life, Carolle (Clark) Griffith, and they were married 53 years.  During his banking career, he built several branches into top lending offices and was recognized for highest gains and lowest losses.  He served on Board of Directors of Youngstown Chapter American Institute of Banking and Advancement Chairman of the Big Arrow District for Boy Scouts of America.

In 1984, he moved his family to Orlando, FL and became an active member of the West Orange community.  West Orlando Rotary nominated him for Rotarian of the Year in 1992 for his ‘unbelievable commitment to Rotary in all areas of participation’.  Long before he started to have a need for a wheel chair, he spent much of his free time helping others gain back independence by building ramps. In 1999 he received Rotary International ’Service Above Self’ award. Al also served on the West Orange Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as VP for presidential programs and co-chaired the Economic Development Task Force of Vision West Orange. His contributions helped lead to Sun Trust Bank being recognized as Member of the Year in 1995 for ‘contributions above and beyond the call of duty to assist the Chamber in many ways’.  He also became known to family and friends for making and donating blankets to anyone who asked or was in need. He found his niche and made over 200 blankets; donating them to Community Care for the Elderly, Lockheed Martin Seniors Program, West Orlando Rotary Club, Osceola Wound Center, and as baby gifts to friends at work.

A big thank you to Dr. Walter Conlan III and staff at Osceola Wound Center for healing Albert’s diabetic foot ulcer and Dr. Dean Cole for the 5 screws in his foot to give him 10 more years with us.

He was proud of his sons and daughter-in-laws, all graduates of UCF, and loved dearly his 6 grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters, sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews, whom he loved and looked forward to their visits.  We all loved him and will miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers or service, Dad requested gifts to your favorite charity. Sookram Rampersad

Sookram Rampersad, age 80, of Kissimmee, passed away Monday, December 24th, 2018 at Osceola Regional Medical Center in  Kissimmee.   He was born in Trinidad, the son of the late Mayah (Rampersad)  and Rampersad  Poomwassie and was employed as a driver for a trucking company.

Sookram is predeceased by son Richard Rampersad (2000) and leaves to cherish his memory, wife Ramdaye  (Ramlal) Rampersd of Kissimmee; daughter Veena Maharaj of St. Cloud; four sons Ralphi Rampersad of Orlando,  Sharmi Rampersad of Orlando, Errol Rampersad of Kissimmee; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A Traditional Hindu Service will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 29th, 2018 at Dobbs Funeral Home followed by interment at Metro Crematory in Ocoee.

William Dexter Lamour

William Dexter Lamour, age 80, of Kissimmee, FL, passed away  Sunday, December 16th, at Health Central Park  in Winter Garden.  He was born in Jacmel, Haiti,   the son of the late Sirolie (Julot)  and Absalon  Lamour and was employed as an auto mechanic.

William leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Kathleen Lamour of Ocoee, FL;  Berthe Lamour of Boston, MA.; sons, Jerry Lamour  of Boston, MA; Mathew Randall Lamour of New Jersey; and 4 grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 20th, 2018 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Dobbs Funeral Home in Orlando, FL 

Sharon Lewis Woodill

Sharon Lewis Woodill, age 71 of Orlando, passed away December 8, 2018 after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.  Born in Missouri, Sharon met her husband of 51 years at Brewton Parker College in Georgia.  Sharon has traveled the world and lived in Africa as a child as well as Spain and Alaska as an adult. A very compassionate person, she was a nurse early in her career and then a preschool teacher for over 20 years. Being very adventurous, Sharon has skydived, ridden horses, rock climbed, zip lined, flown a Stearman biplane, and hot air ballooned.  Her greatest legacy however are her children and grandchildren with whom she spent countless hours reading, attending Tae Kwon Do competitions, going to Sea World, the Science Center, and the Library.  She will be very deeply missed by her husband Ken, her son Scott and his wife Tara, her daughter Kendra and her husband Jonathan, and grandchildren Jonas, Ellie, Hannah, Rose, and Nathan.  Her deep, simple faith in Christ inspired many who knew her to trust in Him with their whole lives.  The memorial service is scheduled for December 22 at 3 p.m. at the Henry Chapel of First Baptist Orlando. Atef Awad

Atef Awad, age 64 of Orlando passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.  He was born in Latakia, Syria the son of Abraham and Sarah (Basna) Awad and was employed as a financial relationship manager.

Atef leaves to cherish his memory wife May Awad of Orlando; son Hossam Awad of London, daughters Haya Awad of Orlando, Sarah Awad of Iraq; brothers Suhail, Samir and Afig Awadall of Syria; sisters Muna Awad of Syria, Wadad Basous of Lebanon and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Kissimmee First Church of the Nazarene, 1550 Mill Stough Road, Kissimmee FL, followed by interment at Winter Garden Cemetery.

Irene Wolthoff

Irene went to be with her heavenly Father on November 6, 2018.  She was born in Fall River, MA but grew up in Rhode Island.  She learned to play the piano in her teens and became an accomplished pianist. She played for her high school functions, at hotels, and other venues. She continued to play all her life for enjoyment, even playing a few days before her passing. She loved to act and was in numerous plays. Irene enjoyed singing, sang in her church choir, and eventually sang with the Sweet Adelines in St. Petersburg, FL. She was part of a quartet and these ladies traveled the southeast competing and having a ball.   Irene enjoyed sewing and made a lot of her clothes, her daughter’s outfits, doll clothes, and many costumes for her singing group. She worked in a bank when she was first married to Harry Wolthoff, the love of her life, who predeceased her. They were happily married for over 58 years. She also worked as a secretary to several school principals at Lealman Junior High and St. Petersburg High School.  After Harry’s passing,   Irene volunteered at a Hospice Thrift Store which she looked forward to. She is predeceased by not only her loving husband Harry, but a sister, Alice Wolthoff, a nephew, as well as many wonderful brother and sister in laws.  She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Wolthoff Kelsey and her husband, Bob. She also leaves behind her granddaughter, Allison Kelsey, her children Madeline and Christopher; her grandson Brock Kelsey, his wife Niki, and their children Austin, Hailey, and Collin.  She has one remaining sister in law Ellie Wolthoff, and many loving nieces and nephews.  She was loved by so many besides her family and she will be missed terribly.  Irene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.  A private family service will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL.

Philip Francis O'Brien

Philip Francis O'Brien,  age 23, of Orlando was tragically taken on Saturday, November 24th, 2018.  He was born in Bronx, NY, the son of Erica O'Brien and was employed as an assistant manager for a car wash company.

Philip leaves to cherish his memory, mother Erica O'Brien of Orlando; brother Jayce O'Brien of Orlando;  and  his heart and love Fedia Petit Frere of Winter Park.

Tomas Rosa

Tomas Rosa, age 83, of Orlando, passed away Monday, November 26th, at Health Central in Ocoee, FL.   He was born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Altemia (Diaz)  and Miguel  Rosa and was employed as a plastic shops machinist.  

Tomas leaves to cherish his memory wife Carmen (Garcia) Rosa of Orlando; daughter Gloria Ortiz of Fitchburg, MA; two sons Thomas Rosa, Jr., and  David Izzarry,  both of Orlando; sister Ida Rosa, brother Julian Rosa, both of Lowell, MA;  6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Charles R. King

Charles R. King, 79, of Ocoee, FL went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2018.  Born in Johnson City, TN, he came to Florida in 1959.  He was a member of West Orlando Baptist Church.  He worked for AAA Building Services in Orlando for over 30 years.  He retired from First Baptist Church Windermere after 18 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents John R. and Frances King.  He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Barbara; Siblings, Douglas (Ramona) King-Arcadia, FL, Carolyn (Chester) Osgood- Ozark, AL, Richard (Dorothy) King - Madison, AL, David (Brenda) King-Enumelaw, WA, and Gary (Brittney) King -Greenville, TN; Sons, Rick (Ellen) King - Ocoee, and Charlie(Vicki) King - Tavares, FL; Grandchildren, Mark, Jake, and Rachel King.

Mary Daisy Perez-Trott

Mary Daisy Perez-Trott, age 72, of Orlando, passed away Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital.   She was born in Miami, the daughter of the late Sixto Perez and was employed as a hospital administrator.  

Mary leaves to cherish her memory, husband Gerald  Trott of Orlando; and two sons Jerald (Katherine) Trott of Windermere and Timothy Trott of Orlando. 

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 7:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 at Dobbs Funeral Home in Orlando, with Pastor Thomas Hensley officiating.

Robert Ashley Appel

Robert passed away on Friday, November 9^th after a short, bravely fought battle with cancer.  Robert was born in Peters Township Pennsylvania and was raised by loving parents Patricia Elmer Appel and Ralph Lach Appel (deceased).  He was the younger of two boys.  He is survived by his Mother (Patricia Elmer Appel), wife Kathleen Harkins Appel, daughter Ashley Appel as well as 10 nieces Marilee, Sara, Jennifer, Brenda, Chrissy, Teresa, Ally, Emily, Tippin, Heather and 13 nephews Richard, Daniel, Billy, Michael, David, Bill, JP, Evan, Kenny, Corbin, Paul, Matt, and Shane.  Robert is predeceased by his brother Roy.

Robert graduated from Peters Township High School Class of 1972.  He went on to graduate from a trade school before working for Amtrak.  Robert then worked in the automobile industry as a car salesman before his employment at the Florida Auto Auction of Orlando in Ocoee, FL, driving cars, coordinating and supervising vehicles and inventory, supervising his own department made up of 24 people, working with multiple car dealers and being an advisor to the Health and Safety Department for the personnel of that department. Robert was the owner/operator of Central Florida Transport.  He would help his clients get to and from medical appointments or physical therapy, and help them through pre and post operative procedures.  For a few years, Robert had a business painting people’s houses.  No matter the job Robert took great pride in his work and always did his job with integrity and care. 

Robert’s most rewarding job was as our family caretaker.  Robert always made sure that the house was clean and that the pantry and refrigerator were always full of food.  He would prepare home cooked meals every night for his family and always took the time to make sure that his family was happy and ensured that they had everything that they needed.  Robert retired from his professional life in 2007 to care for his mother when she broke her neck.  Robert loved being a husband, father and son.  It was the light of his life being able to take care of the ones he loved most.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 with visitation starting at 1:00 pm, followed by the service at 2:00 pm at Dobbs Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers Bob requests that you spend time with your children, take a walk on the beach with your loved ones and make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond.

Robert will be greatly missed by family and friends.  May he rest in peace.

Roy Croft Brand

Roy Croft Brand passed away on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018.  He was born in Lake Worth, Florida on December 13, 1936. He was the youngest of four children. He is survived by his two sisters Elizabeth Respess and Carolyn Smith as well as his son Roger Brand (Deirdre) and daughter Ashley VanDerMark (Skip) and seven grandchildren: Peter, Jack, Grace, and George Brand and Connor, Riley and Harper VanDerMark. He is preceded in death by his mother Odessa and older brother Joe.

Like many from his generation, Roy worked all his life and gave tirelessly of his time and resources to help others. His first job was delivering milk and then he had a paper delivery route. Even before he could drive, he parked cars for Harlan Blackburn (a member of the Cigar Mafia). While in high school he worked for George Stuart Office Supply, and at sixteen he became an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Boone High School in 1954 and elected to go into the Naval Reserve where he served honorably for eight years. He worked for Southern Bell as a lineman before attending Florida State University where he graduated with a degree in Accounting in 1962.

Roy was introduced to State Farm Insurance by Bill Gunter and started his own agency, which was his main occupation for 47 years. He was a pilot and one of the founders of the Orlando Aero Club at Herndon Airport. When he was 33, he dabbled in politics, by running for Orange County Commissioner. He was an active member and past President of the West Orlando Rotary Club where he was extremely involved. While in Rotary he built literally hundreds of wheelchair ramps for people in need. Rotary International honored him with the Paul Harris Fellow Award for his service. From the early 1980’s he maintained a contractor license helping many people build and renovate their homes as well as businesses. Roy’s passion was always in helping others so it should be no surprise that he was also a lifelong blood donor to the Central Florida Blood Bank, donating over 50 gallons. 

He seemed to be most fond of his service as a Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary State Trooper. Roy not only gave of his time and resources he also was a philanthropist and patron of the arts, donating countless dollars and hours to the Winter Park Playhouse, Orlando Opera, Orlando Ballet, Orlando Philharmonic and the Orlando Museum of Art.

Roy’s entire life demonstrated his love for people. He truly had a servant’s heart. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church Orlando, 3000 South John Young Parkway, in The Henry Chapel, Saturday, November 10th at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Cannonball Kids’ cancer Foundation, 

(www.cannonballkidscancer.org), a charity near and dear to his heart.

Sandi Feliciano

 October 17 1948 to October 14 2018

She was preceded in death by Parents Marvin and Flossie Clemons Orlando, and  Cousin Letha Domingues Beckley WV.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends – We all love you Sandi may you rest in peace.

Cecille Elizabeth Jones Hall

Cecille Elizabeth Jones Hall (affectionately called Betty), was the 2^nd of 4 children born to Harold and Clara Jones at Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica on September 13^th, 1947. Cecille attended Whitfield Town All-Age School, North Street Seventh Day Adventist School and Tutorial College. As a child growing up Cecille had a passion and a love for nursing, and after graduating from Tutorial College in 1967 she received a Government Scholarship to East Surrey Hospital School of Nursing in London, England. Cecille was elated to stay the least. Prior to leaving for London, Cecille had a brief encounter with a dapper gentleman by the name of Dennis Hall, at the Registrar General Office (aka Record Office) in Spanish Town. She urgently needed to obtain a birth certificate to apply for her Passport to leave for London. Dennis was quite happy to expedite this request for this attractive young lady. It just so happens that the birth certificate was completed that same day around lunch time and Dennis invited her to lunch. She accepted, and after lunch went back home, while Dennis returned to work. Cecille obtained her Passport shortly thereafter and went to London. They stayed in contact over the next two years and became engaged by Proxy in 1968. In September of 1970, Cecille fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse, and returned to Kingston, Jamaica. In December 1970, Dennis and Cecille got married. Cecille worked for a short time at the Nuthall Hospital in Kingston, then migrated to New York in late 1971. Dennis joined Cecille in August 1972. While in New York, she worked for Visiting Nurse Services and at South Nassau Community Hospital in Long Island where she was a Charge Nurse. As a Passionate Charge Nurse, she made it her way of life, and conducted several health seminars throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Another lifelong passion of Cecille from an early age was her commitment to her church and putting the Lord first. There wasn’t a scripture or gospel song she didn’t know. She took her love for the Lord seriously, and only missed church when she had to work. In 1973 Dennis and Cecille decided it was time to add to the family, and Cecille gave birth to her first daughter Lisa, and her second daughter Tenille followed in 1977. Dennis’s children from Jamaica, Sandra and Tony joined the family in 1978. She enjoyed being a mother and gave this new and expanded role her all, from sewing clothes, to cooking to shopping for her family, Cecille did it all with love and commitment, always putting God first and foremost in their lives. In 2002 the family relocated to Florida and Cecille worked for a couple of years, after which she went into retirement.

Cecille took being a grandmother to 3 beautiful girls as a gift from God, she instilled her class, grace and the love of the Lord in their lives.  After retiring Cecille joined her husband Dennis in Orange County Sheriff’s Office as a volunteer for the Citizens on Patrol Program. She enjoyed this new position of keeping her neighborhood of 254 homes safe with her husband (A program he started in Pine Hills), and after 10 years, Cecille had to retire from the Citizens on Patrol Program due to poor health. Cecille received numerous awards for her many devoted years of unselfish hospitality, commitment and service to her communities. Cecille lived the remainder of her life under doctor’s care and passed peacefully from this life on the evening of October 24^th 2018 at her residence. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.

Cecille is preceded in death by parents Harold and Clara, and sister Grace. She is survived by her loving husband Dennis, daughters, Lisa, Tenille, Step daughter Sandra, Step son Tony, son-in-law’s Prince, Garth, Matthew, granddaughters, Njani, Nyala, Nakari, sister – Yvonne, brother Easton, cousin Dorothy, and a whole host of family and friends.

David Anthony Hawn

David Anthony Hawn died suddenly on September 3, 2018.  He was born on January 15, 1985 in Ann Arbor, Michigan and moved to Florida with his family in 1997.  David was a graduate of Dr. Phillips High School and Florida State University.  He was the beloved son of Steven and Cynthia Hawn and brother of Daniel and Christine.  He is survived by his immediate family, his much-loved grandmother, Patti “Tutu” Hawn, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to count.  He will be missed and never forgotten by all who loved him.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, at 1:00 PM at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 4950 S. Apopka-Vineland Rd., Orlando.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, www.feedhopenow.org where David volunteered.

Naraine Diaram

Naraine Diaram, age 72, of Orlando, passed away Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospice at Orlando Health.   He was born in Georgetown, Guyana the son of the late Diaram and Deorattie and was employed as a security guard.

Naraine leaves to cherish his memory, wife Praimwattie Diaram of Orlando; three daughters, Sharda Millis of Orlando; Dhramdai Lall of Apopka; Vaidwattie Jagmohan of Orlando; two sons Rabindranauth Diaram of Ocoee,  Chatnarine Diaram of Ocoee;  sister Ramrattie Diaram of Queens, NY; two brothers Ramkumar Diaram of Long Island, NY, Krishna Diaram of Connecticut; and 11 grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 9:00 pm on Monday, October 15th, 2018.  A Traditional Hindu service will be held from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at Dobbs Funeral Home in Orlando, FL  with Pandit Raj officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Metro Crematory in Ocoee, Florida.

Austin Michael Kelley

Austin Michael Kelley,  age 20, of Orlando, passed away Friday, September 28th, 2018.He was born in Orlando, FL  the son of Deanna (Kelley) and the late Charles Seth Hartford and was employed as a retail clerk.

Austin is predeceased by his sister Hailey Adams (2007) and leaves to cherish his memory, mother Deanna Kelley; three sisters, Brittany Adams, Emily Adams, Savannah  Mayfield; two brothers, Stephen Kelley; Cori New; and maternal grandmother Barbara Sneathen all of Orlando; 

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 pm at Dobbs Funeral Home.

Brenda Sue Conrad

Brenda Sue Conrad, age 70, of Orlando,  passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018.  She was born in Orlando, the daughter of the late Willie (Farmer)  and Leo  Conrad.  Brenda was employed for over 30 plus years as a surgical technician at Orlando Regional Medical Center. She also loved ballroom dancing.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memory, brother Ray Conrad, of Orlando; niece Beverly Brown of Orlando; nephews Robert Owens of Ocoee, Scott Owens of Texas; numerous great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dan Entwistle officiating.

Stephen Francis Dinda

STEPHEN FRANCIS DINDA - AKA STEVIE, LOVEY, MR. D, PAPA STEVE

Steve was born in Farmingdale, New York on 9/4/1942 to Frank Dinda and Frances Stephens Dinda and is the older brother of James Dinda and Elizabeth Churchill.

He graduated with honors from Half Hollow Hills High School, where he was senior class president and captain of the wrestling team.

Steve attended and graduated from Niagara University, where he met his beloved wife Dorothy Ann Cannon. Together they had their first three children in 2 ½ years.

Post-graduation, he had many different careers. Steve was a stock broker for Edwards and Hanley and Dean Witter. He also owned many of his own businesses. His Pioneer General Store in Bethpage, New York, was one of the first convenience stores in the U.S. with gas pumps in front. Steve also owned and operated a chain of gas stations throughout Nassau County, New York.

In his Forest City, Wantagh years, he coached Little League, played softball, competed in the community bowling league and was an avid poker player.

In his mid-forties, Steve left New York and found his calling, selling timeshare for the Marriott Vacation Club in their Telesales department. He became their top producer, won salesman of the year, and was the first Telesales salesman in the history of the company to reach presidential status. He was looked upon as a mentor, trainer, role model, friend and a friendly ear to speak to. He was acclaimed for his ethics and possibly best remembered for his sarcastic wit. He retired when stricken with cancer in 2002. 

Steve is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy and is survived by his second wife, Jane Powers and 5 children Susan Fischer (Gregory), James (Kimberly), Joseph, Frank (Kimberly), and Dorothy Mooney (James). He is also survived by his 7 treasured grandchildren, Josh, Jake, Andre, Austyn, Lexi, Aston and Mia. 

Steve was a cancer survivor, a life-long Catholic and looked forward to eternal life in heaven.

Rafael Angel Hernandez

Rafael Angel Hernandez, age 73, of Orlando,  passed away Thursday, September 27th, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospice at Orlando Health.  He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico,  the son of Eloisa (Muskus)  and Pacifico Hernandez and was employed as a hospital porter.  

Rafael leaves to cherish his memory wife Constancia  (Brown) Hernandez of Orlando; daughter Nidia Smith, of Orlando; three sons Jesus Manual Hernandez of Boston, MA, Rafael A. Hernandez, Jr., of San Juan, PR,  and Timothy Smith, of Panama. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; 7 grandchildren

The family will be receiving friends from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Friday, October 5th, 2018 at Dobbs Funeral Home in Orlando.  Interment will be at Winter Garden Cemetery, 13636 Lake Butler Boulevard, Winter Garden FL.

Alan Barry Scott

Alan Barry Scott, age 49, of Orlando passed away Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 at his residence.   He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Ava Scott and was employed as an auto mechanic.

Alan leaves to cherish his memory, mother Ava Scott of Orlando;  daughter Aliyah Scott of Groveland; and son Brandon Thompson also of Groveland. 

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 at Dobbs Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM with Rev. Bill Curl officiating.

Carlton Kumar

Carlton Kumar, age 57, of Orlando, FL, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at his residence.  He was born in Trinidad,  the son of Jassodra (Ganpat) and the late Harold Kumar and was employed as a chef.

Carlton leaves to cherish his memory, mother Jassodra Kumar of Richmond, TX; three sisters, Sintra DeJesus of Richmond, TX, Chandra Kumar of Queens, NY, Kaloutie Aughey of Clearwater, FL; and brother Kishore Kumar of Queens, NY.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 9:00 pm on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Dobbs Funeral Home. A Traditional Hindu Service will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Dobbs Funeral Home, followed by cremation at Metro Crematory in Ocoee, FL.

Thomas Gordon Diffey

Thomas ”Tom” Gordon Diffey, age 87 of Orlando, went peacefully to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospice.  He was born on August 8, 1931, in Midnight, Mississippi, the son of the late Thomas Patrick Diffey and Mrytle Musgrove Diffey.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Marshall Diffey, brother Glen Diffey and sister Marlene Hairston.

Tom leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Linda Diffey, children, John (Allison) Diffey, Richard (Sue) Diffey, Kathy (John) Kardules and Randy (Nancy) Rich, sisters, Valerie Wiggins, Gail Keith, brother, Pat Diffey, 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Tom served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War.  He was a former Auditor for Los Angeles County, California and Orange County, Florida.  He worked until the age of 78.   Tom loved the Lord, his family, friends, music, photography, pistol shooting, traveling, Nascar racing and fried the best chicken and catfish anywhere.  He was a Bible Study Teacher at First Baptist Church in Orlando and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He was blessed to be loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Orlando, FL with Pastor Jeff Thompson officiating.

Gary Michael Kish

Gary Michael Kish, age 67 of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Orlando.  He was born in St. Augustine, Florida the son of Johnny and Lillian (Vaughn) Kish and was employed in residential and commercial construction. 

Gary is survived by his daughter Amy Kish, also of Tampa and many other relatives and friends.  

Visitation was held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at Dobbs Funeral Home.
