I am home in Heaven dear ones, Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in that everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing past. I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last. Did you wonder how I so calmly trod the valley of the shade? Oh! But Jesus' love illumined every dark and fearful glade.

He came Himself to meet me in that way so hard to tread. And with Jesus there to lean on, I could have no doubt or dread. Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still. Try to look beyond life's shadows, pray to trust our Father's will. there is work still waiting for you so you must not idly stand.

do it now, while life remaineth. You shall stand in Jesus' land when that work is all completed. He will gently cal you home. Oh, the rapture of that meeting! Oh, the joy to see you come!

Mrs. Barbara A. Hogan, 76 of Deltona, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial. Barbara was born in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Leo and Anna Mytkowski) Lademan. She retired as a secretary in the county permitting office. Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, husband John Hogan of Deltona; two daughters, Sheila Collar and Lisa Adams of Deltona; son-in laws, Keith Williams and Jeffrey Adams; she is also survived by grandchildren, Laura Collar and Melissa Williams of Orlando; great grandhcildren, Aliviana Cabrera of Deltona, Adriana Thillet, Davieon Williams and Darius Williams from Orlando; nieces Patty Malkoski of Matamora, Michigan and Sandy Bonello of Clinton Township, Michigan. Carol Ann Mahadeo, age 60 of Orlando, passed away on Sunday, January 31st, 2010 at St. Philomena's Hospital in Bangalore, India. Carol was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, the daughter of Anthony and Dolly Myra (Thomas) Joseph. Carol leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Buntin Carl Mahadeo of Orlando; two daughters, Kathy Ann Beauchamp of Boynton Beach, Donnicia Tiner of Olney, MD; two sons, Donohue Mahadeo of Orlando and Dirk Sooklall of Bronx, NY. Carol is also survived by a sister, Maureen Brizan of Orlando; and brother, David Joseph of Trinidad. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 1:00 - 7:00 PM at Dobbs Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2010 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at Dobbs Funeral Home, followed by cremation at Metro Crematory in Ocoee.

Mrs. Dianna Patricia Huggins, age 61 of Ocoee, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Dianna was born in Trinidad, West Indies on October 9, 1948, the daughter of the late George and Teresa (Chinnia) White. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Orlando FL, the Kiwanis (West Orange) and the Homeowners Association. She was employed as a Travel Bureau Agent. Dianna leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Teresa (Chinnia) White of Trinidad; husband Trevor Huggins of Ocoee; sister, Kassandra White of Montreal Canada and 2 brothers, Vijay White and Annan White both of Trinidad. The family will be receiving friends at Dobbs Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 29, 2010 at St. Andrew Catholic Church.

William "Butch" Thomas Parsons

William "Butch" Parsons passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in Orlando. Butch was born in Petersburg, Virginia the son of the late William G. and Virginia (Webb) Parsons. He moved to Central Florida from Virginia in 1976 and was employed as an Auto Supply Parts Manager. Butch was a Pentecostal and was a member of the VFW, Pine Hills Little League and the Police Benevolent Association. He is survived by his 2 sisters Donna Graybeal of Orlando and Carolyn Parsons Pope of Kingsport, TN. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Morton "Mort" I. Lynn

Morton I Lynn, 82 passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from lung cancer. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 7, 1927, the son of Robert Lynn and Sylvia Hamberger Lynn. He served in the Army Air Corps in Hawaii as a grounds safety technician where he received the World War II Victory Medal. Mort was a member of V.F.W. Post 5046. After the military, Mort worked in the fashion industry for the Robert Hall Company. He came to Florida with his family in the early 60's, still working in the fashion industry. Soon Mort started working for builders selling new homes. That's when he met Edwina. They married on February 14th, Valentines Day in 1987. After the Gulf War ended, Mort went into interior design, working for Robb & Stuckey until his retirement in 2005.

He is survived by his wife Edwina, his daughters Susan Gail Roberts, Barbara Ellen Lynn and Linda Sue Ortiz, his wife's daughter. He has three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service is being held on January 31st, 2010 at Dobbs Funeral Home located at 430 N. Kirkman Road at 11:00 AM.

Lucelia Angelina Miller

Lucelia Angelina Miller passed away on Monday, January 18, 2010 to meet her Lord and Saviour. She was born August 15, 1926 in Newfield, New York, the daughter of Amandus and Ruby (Hovey) Teeter. She graduated from high school and became a bookkeeper. During World War II she worked for Ithaca Gun Company. During her younger years, she played softball, was on a bowling team and loved to tap dance.

When Lucelia was 37 years old, she was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. Joanne Longsdorff, who had led Lon and Tina to Christ through after school Bible Clubs, led Lucelia to Christ as well. Lu has taught children about Jesus since that day. She was a teacher and taught 2nd grade children at First Baptist Church of Central Florida until her late 70's and was a member of the Intercessory Prayer Group. She leaves a Legacy of prayer and service - no matter how old or physically infirmed you are, you can still serve Christ. God was still using her at the age of 83!

She leaves to cherish her memory, son Lon (Debbie) Santora of Orlando; daughter Tina Dean of Greenville, SC; sister Dora Johnoff of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Christopher (Ai) Santora of Orlando, Katherine Santora of Jacksonville, Joshua Santora of Orlando, Michelle Santora of Jacksonville, Lauren and Alena Dean both of Greenville, SC.

Marvin Curtis Moran

Mr. Marvin Curtis Moran, 57 of Orlando, passed away on Monday, January 4th, 2009. Marvin was born in Beckley, West Virginia, the son of the late Frank Edgar and Oma (Campbell) Moran. he was employed as a commercial painter. He is preceded in death by his sister Phyllis Moran (1998). Marvin leaves to cherish his memory, mother Oma Moran of Orlando; son, Jason Scott Moran of Utica, NY; daughters, Michelle Dayfoe and Lisa Phelps of Utica, Ny; sister Letha Ann Domingues of Orlando; brother James Moran of West Virginia and 7 grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends on from 11 am until 12 noon on Friday, January 8th at Dobbs Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at noon with pastor Jon Dunwell officiating. Interment will be held at Winter Garden Cemetery.

J. Gregory ("Greg") McNerney

J. Gregory McNerney, 60, a long time resident of Orlando and native of Washington D.C. passed away quietly in his sleep on Wednesday January 6 with his family at his side. Mr. McNerney is survived by his loving wife and daughters, Laura Henline McNerney, Megan Louise and Melissa Anne, who cared for him through a series of debilitating illnesses. Survivors also include Mr. McNerney's brothers and sisters Michael J. McNerney (Connie) of Ft. Lauderdale, Louise E. Nehl (Lou) of Houston, Texas, Kathleen M. Harris (John) of Orlando, Sharon T. Venker (Thomas) of St. Louis, Missouri, Sheila M. Leacock (Robert) of Orlando, Kevin A. McNerney (Ann) and Robert A. McNerney (Christine) both of Oakton, Virginia, more than 55 nieces and nephews, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Mr. McNerney was pre-deceased by his parents Arthur T. and Mary Jane McNerney, his brother Patrick, as well as the Reverend David T. Madden S.J., beloved family priest.

Greg McNerney was born in Washington D.C. where he attended St. John's College High School for two years before moving to Indialantic, Florida where he went on to graduate from Melbourne High School, and was recognized as the Outstanding Senior Athlete in 1967. He was an exceptional athlete, winning a scholarship for basketball, track and cross country to East Carolina University. Greg was well known in AAU basketball circles in Orlando and throughout the state where he competed until the 1980s. In later years he was a fixture in Orlando youth athletics coaching girls softball and basketball. The McNerneys are long time members of the Holy Family Catholic Church parish and community.

Mr. McNerney spent the majority of his career as a pool and spa designer and later as an executive with Funds for Life, an insurance business.

Visiting hours will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday, January 8 from 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family on Saturday afternoon at 2 pm, followed by interment at Dr. Phillips Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Greg's family requests gifts are made to the Dr. P. Basmatie Arjune, age 85 of Orlando passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Basmatie was born in Guyana, the daughte rof the late Sarun and Budni. She was a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory 9 children, Milton Persaud, Iris Sewmangal, unis Heeraman, Ivan Rooplall, Kampton Persaud, Premchand, Chaderpaul Arjune, Dovie Arjne, Derek Arjune; 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, January 3rd, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Daniel Harry Dittelberger

Daniel Harry Dittelberger, age 54 of Ocala, passed away on Wednesday, December 30th, 2009. Daniel was born in Cincinnati the son of Raymond and Wilma (Staat) Dittelberger. He was employed as an Area Director/General Manager for a restaurant. Daniel is survived by his parents; son, Devon Dittelberger; two sisters, Joyce (Patrick) Burke, Patti Clark; two brothers, Ronald (Linda) Dittelberger and Michael (Kim) Dittelberger).

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Dobbs Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Winter Garden Cemetery.

George (K.P.) Bradley Minor

George (K.P.) Bradley Minor, age 20 of Apopka, FL died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in Orlando, FL. He was born June 17, 1989 in Oneonta, NY the son of Jeannine (Gary) Lumpkin, Apopka, FL., and George (Lorraine Newell) Minor of Guilford, NY. He is survived by his parents; his brother Clinton Jon (Kendra) Minor of California City, CA; his sister Nicole House (Joshua Crawford), of New Berlin, NY; a nephew, Caleb Thomas House, and nieces, Shaylee Marie House and Natalie Dawn Minor, several aunts, cousins, and many good friends. A Celebration of the Life of George (K.P.) Minor will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 3 PM at Dobbs Funeral Home, Orlando. The family will be receiving friends at 2:00 PM prior to the service. Colonel Ralph Hillis Groover, Jr., USA, Retired

"Daddy Ralph", 84, of Orlando, Florida joined his parents, Ralph and Betty Groover, brother Kenny Groover, and sister Betty Gene Woods in peace with the Lord he loved so much on December 14, 2009.

Although born and raise din very humble beginnings, he considered his most important jobs in life to be a good Christian, husband, father, and patriot.

Ralph was born in Hinesville, Georgia on February 20, 1925 to the late Ralph and Betty Groover. He was preceded in death by his brother Kenny Groover and sister Betty Gene Woods. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joanne Hodges Groover, four children; Sherrie Gibney-Sherman (Ken Sherman), Cindy Groover (Charley Gay), Ralph Groover III (Lynne Groover) and Lea Anne Groover; grandchildren Kellen Gibney, Alexandra Gibney, Mollie Sherman, Armando Trey Hernandez (Laura), Hailey Groover, MacKenzie "Ralph" Groover IV, Richard Day, and Christopher Kyle "CK" Day; Great grandson Kellin Waters; Brother Darrell Groover (Linda), sisters Mavis Tootle, Virginia DeLoach (Mondale) and Pat Smiley (Dale). He was Uncle and Great Uncle to many and a friend to all. He never met a stranger.

Ralph Hillis Groover, better known to all as Daddy Ralph - was a proud and amazing man, with a lifetime of accomplishments. Starting from a rural background in Gum Branch, Georgia, near Hinesville, he became a full colonel in the United States Army and had a military career that spanned three decades and several wars. He also served in military intelligence and learned to speak Russian and German. As they say, old soldiers never really leave the military, but he embarked on other careers, including many years in Orlando real estate starting in the mid 1970's. He continued to work in varying areas of interest until he was around 75-years-old.

He is survived by his wife Jo - our Mama Jo - to whom he was married - and completely devoted - for nearly 60 years. Ralph and Joe could tell you many tales about the 35 moves they made during his military career and the adventures four head head strong children can bring to a family. A constant throughout was his love of church, family, and his country. There was never a question where he stood on any of these matters.

Two weeks ago, we got to spend what turned out to be our last time, our last Thanksgiving, with Daddy Ralph. He had just undergone some risky surgery and was struggling to recover. Following the surgery everyone pitched in to help Daddy Ralph get back on his feet and out of the hospital door - his ultimate goal. We had to make sure he was all right and didn't try to pull out his tubes and escape - he had a mind of his own! He wasn't ready to leave the hospital by Thanksgiving Day, but the hospital staff kindly allowed our extended family to take over part of the hospital dining area that evening and bring in our food and music for a very unusual, but memorable celebration. An enduring memory of Daddy Ralph will be of him sitting proudly - in his pajamas - at the head of the hospital dining area table, singing his favorite them song, "Lord, It's Hard to Be Humble." Daddy Ralph was a man of great faith, a fundamentalist christian who made everyone feel completely welcome and at home.

Ralph's memorial service will be held at First Baptist church of Orlando on John Young Parkway on Saturday, December 19th at 11:00 am with viewing at 10:00 am. A reception will be held in Faith Hall immediately following the service. A military burial service will be held on a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.

Mrs. Edith Elaine Styczynski, age 83 passed away on Monday December 7th, 2009 in Orlando. She was born in Norwich, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Albert and Emma (Sourbier) Harris. She moved to Central Florida from Connecticut in 1979 and was employed as a Screen Printer in the paper goods industry. She was preceded in death by daughter Dawn Prosser (December 1989). Edith leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Frank Styczynski; daughter Karen Serra; son, Gary Smith; sister Bernice Senkewitcz; brother, Everett Harris; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his mother, Elsie Whitman of Steele, North Dakota; his sisters and brothers-in-law Joyce and Ivan Thomsen of Kissimmee, FL, Nancy and Monroe Madson of Bismarck, ND and Elizabeth Whitman of Orlando, FL; his nieces and nephews-in-law Tara and Matthew Stewart of Snellville, GA, Sarah and Thomas Visco of Washington DC, Thora and Steve Yoon of San Antonio, TX and Gina Madson of Bismarck, ND; his nephews and nieces-in-laws Myron Frank Jr. and Kim Whitman of Cullman, AL, Derek Whitman of St. Cloud, FL, Kjeld and Vicky Thomsen of Northville, MI, Jason Madson of Minneapolis, MN and Eric Madson of Manchester, NH; his grandnieces Esther Yoon, Kelsie Thomsen, Jovana Thomsen and Jayde Madson; his grandnephews Jonathan Tharaldsen, Samuel Yoon, Michael Yoon, Maxwell Stewart, and Whitman Stewart. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Roy Whitman (1993) and his brother, Myron Frank Whitman (2003). Frank was born on March 22, 1949. His early years were spent on the family dairy farm in Pettibone, North Dakota. He earned two bachelor's degrees, a degree in Mechanical Engineering from NDSU and a degree in computer science from FMU. Inspite of his higher education, his love and talent was always to work with his hands, solving practical problems. He spent his early career working for the family business in Lake Williams ND, which built homes and ran a grain elevator, gas business and hardware store. He relocated in 1989 to Florida where he was in demand to lend his creative thinking and practical intelligence to any sort of construction problem. He will be always remembered and valued by his friends and family for his quiet ways and the willingness in his heart to help others. May he lay down his tool belt and rest in peace.
