Pauline C. Norby

Pauline Cain Norby, 94, passed away on May 28, 2012 at Ponce Adult Family Care in Orlando, FL where she resided for the past month.  The previous 6 years she resided at the Madison House Assisted Living Facility.  She was born August 26, 1917 in Ozark, Alabama, where she graduated from high school at age 16.  She attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in music.  She attended The Julliard School of Music in New York City to study piano and became an accomplished concert pianist as well as a piano teacher.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ozark.  She met her husband, Thomas at Fort Rucker, in Ozark, when he was stationed there with the U.S. Army.  She moved from Alabama with her husband to Louisiana, New Mexico and settling down with "Tar Heel" roots in Swannanoa, North Carolina as he pursued his personnel career with the U.S. Government.  she was a devoted mother and was very proud of her 2 sons who attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Julian Norby in November 1988, and her oldest son, Thomas Julian Norby, Jr of Charlotte, NC in March 2010.  Survivors included her youngest son, Robert Brent Norby of Orlando, FL, daughter in law, Julie Bullard Norby, her true advocate, and her beloved 3 grandchildren; Alexandra Leigh Norby, Julian Lucas "Luke" Norby, and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Victoria Norby, all of Orlando, FL.  A memorial service, "Ice Cream Social", hats required, will be planned at a later date.

Francis G. Henrich

Francis G. Henrich, age 86 of Ocoee, Florida passed away on Monday, May 28th, 2012 at his residence.  Francis was born in College Point, New York the son of the late Lillian (Bush) and Frank Henrich.  He served in the United States Navy and was employed as an Electronics Production Manager.  He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando. 

Francis leaves to cherish his memory, wife Jacqueline (Ford) Henrich; two daughters, Laura Henrich of Tarrytown, NY, Suzanne Brown of Orlando; two sons Mark Henrich of Palm Beach Gardens, Christopher Henrich of Los Angeles and grandson Ryan Brown of Orlando.  The family will be receiving friends from 10:30 - 11:30a on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Dobbs Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Catholic Church at 12:00 pm.

Fortulie Menard

Fortulie Menard passed away on May 17, 2012 in Winter Garden, Florida. Fortulie was born in CAP-Haitian, Haiti, the daughter of Zachary Menard and Claudia Herivaut.  She was employed in the fashion industry as a seamstress.  Fortulie leaves to cherish her memory children, Guy St. Jean, Guenide St. Jean Daniel, Herve Menard; sister Jeanine Menard; half brother Eliott Meinard; grandchildren Kepherd Daniel, Verdelle St. Jean, Windel St. Jean; the Menard, Magloire, Herlveaux, Andate families, and many numerous relatives and friends.  The family will be receiving friends from 6 - 9 pm on Friday, May 25th, 2012 at Dobbs Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 26th, 2012 at St. Andrew Catholic Church.  Interment will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery.   A reception will be held after the burial at the China Buffet, 2258 S. Kirkman road, Orlando FL 32811.

Dan Clyde Freeman

Went to his heavenly home on May 21, 2012.  Dan was born in Kissimmee, Florida to the late Clyde and Elizabeth Freeman.  Dan attended Boone High School, Valencia Community College and the University of Florida.  he served in the United States Air Force.  he was a Fireman and EMT with the Orlando and Winter Park Fire Departments.  He also taught at The Fire Academy.  Dan was a member of the First Baptist church of Orlando, where he met the late Kathryn (Kathy) Folker, who gave him the honor of being his wife.  Dan was a true gentleman and a man of God.  He wanted people to see Jesus in him.  With all his pain and suffering, all of his Care Givers were amazed with his attitude.  He leaves to cherish his memory, Brothers Frank (Eva) Freeman of  Dover, Delaware, John Freeman of Clermont, Florida; sisters Barbara Railsback of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Mona (Duane) Atkinson and Elizabeth (Libby) Freeman both of Clermont; several nieces and nephews wich he was extremely close to Shawn (Deb) Roth of Apopka, Florid and Chance Freeman of clermont and sister-in-law Barbara (Whitey) Waid of Acworth, Georgia.  the family will be receiving friends in the Henry Chapel of First Baptist Church of Orlando on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 6 - 8 pm.  The service will be held in the Henry Chapel on Saturday, May 26th, 2012 at 1:00 pm.  Interment will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.  The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to First Orlando Foundation for the Freeman plaque.

Patricia Diane "Dee Dee" Barrett

Patricia Diane "Dee Dee" Barrett, age 54 passed away on Saturday, May 19th, 2012.  Dee Dee was a lifelong Central Floridian born in Orlando, the daughter of Russell and Mamie Irene (Slaughter) DeWitt.  Dee Dee leaves to cherish her memory, her lifelong companion John Miller of Orlando; 2 sons Darin and Brandon Miller both of Orlando; sisters Geraldine McConnell of Groveland, Barbara Green of Winter Garden, Sharon Baker of Groveland; daughter-in-law Brittany Miller of Orlando; 2 grandchildren Chloe and Ashton Miller both of Orlando; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012 at Dobbs Funeral Home.  The family is requesting that attendees wear green, purple or blue as  green was one of Dee Dee's favorite colors. (NO BLACK)

Ena Isona Taylor

Ena Isona Taylor of Orlando, age 69 passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012.  She was born on march 27, 1943, the daughter of James O'Connor and Sarah Matthews.  Ena was employed in the banking industry for over 20 years and attended Mt. Sinai and Patmos Seventh Day Adventist Churches.  Ena was a hard worker and a very generous person who would give an individual her last.  She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Julie Roach of Orlando; son Castel D. Shaw of Orlando; brother Albert Bailey; sisters Eda Wetherburn, Rose O'Connor; grandchildren Jessica N. Thompson, Paul A. Gordon, Jennifer Ewald, Thomas Ewald; great grand-daughter Jaida Jezira Thompson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other sorrowing friends in the Orlando area and Jamaica West Indies.  She will be greatly missed.

The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, May 6th, 2012 from 2:00 - 5:30 pm at Dobbs Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Clarendon, Jamaica on Sunday, May 13th, 2012.

Doyle Carlton Peacock

Doyle Carlton Peacock age 83 of Orlando passed away on Thursday, April 26th, 2012 in Ocoee, Florida.  Doyle was a lifelong Floridian born in Ocoee, Florida on February 14, 1929, the son of the late Maudie (Underwood) and Zeb Carson.  He served in the U.S. Navy and was employed as a drapery and interior installer.  He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Central Florida, Orlando.

Doyle leaves to cherish his memory sister, Hattie Allene Davis of California; grandsons Carlton and Richard Peacock both of Orlando; granddaughter Holly Peacock of Altamonte Springs and daughter-in-law Brenda Peacock of Orlando.  The family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 30, 2012 from 6 - 8 pm at Dobbs Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Central Florida, Orlando at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 with Pastor Clayton Cloer officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery in Sanford, Florida.

Deborah Starr Soucey

Deborah Starr Soucey, age 59 of Orlando, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012.  Deborah was born in Syracuse, New York the daughter of Jeanne Roberts and the late Robert Ingwersen.  She was employed a a medical Technologist for Bio Pharmaceuticals and was a member of The American Society of Clinical Pathology.  Deborah leaves to cherish her memory, husband, James L. Soucey of Orlando; mother, Jeanne Roberts of Cocoa Beach, Florida; stepmother, Pat Ingwersen of Melbourne, Florida; two daughters, Lara haynes of Orlando, Amanda (Steven) Brooks of Orlando; two sisters Tami (Jerry) Munden of North Carolina, Robin Ingwersen of Indialantic, Florida; three brothers, Mark (Geri) Ingwersen of Maryland, Michael Roberts of Melbourne, James (Marcy) Ingwersen of Illinois; and 5 grandchildren.  A Memorial Service will be held at Dobbs Funeral Home, Orlando Florida at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 28th, 2012 with Pastor Thomas Hensley officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Deborah's name to http://www.bestfriends.org/.

Stephen Geary

Dr. Stephen Geary, Ph.D. of Brandon, Florida and a seasonal resident of Old Lyme  Connecticut, died peacefully on April 24, 2012.  He was the loving husband of Mrs. Ruth Mary Doyle Geary.  Born on November 7, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Springfield, MA, Dr. Geary was the fourth son born to the late Fredrick Lawrence and Catharine Mary (Callahan) Geary.  After receiving his undergraduate degree from Tufts University, Dr. Geary served as an officer in the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of First Lieutenant.  Upon his discharge from the army Dr. Geary received his Masters from the University of New Hampshire and Ph.D. from Syracuse University.  Dr. Geary's early career was with Perkin Elmer in Connecticut and he spent his final professional years with BioAnalytical Systems in West Lafayette, IN.  He and his wife retired to Brandon, Fl.  Dr. Geary, "Papa", always looked forward to coming home to Old Lyme, CT. to spend time with his grandchildren and extended family.  He was known for his Christmas Gingerbread houses, love of history, and world class breakfasts. 

In addition to his beloved wife, Dr. Geary is survived by three daughters, Maura Ruth Cochran, and her husband Alex of Rocklin, CA; Margaret "Margy", Geary Grant, and her husband Matthew of Orlando, FL and Elizabeth doyle Lardio, and her husband Anthony "Tony", of Shorewood, MN; eight grandchildren, Catherine and Abigail Cochran of Rocklin, CA; Michael, Grace and Sean Grant, of Orlando, FL and Kenneth, Alex, and Shannon Lardio of Shorewood, MN.  He is also survived by four brothers, Dr. Frederick L. Geary of Old Lyme, Ct, and his wife Teresa, Dr. William J. Geary of West Hartford, CT and his wife Marcia, Dr. Thomas J. Geary of Essex, Ct and his wife Janice, and Mr. Michael E. Geary, of Medway, MA and his wife Cynthia and dozens of nieces and nephews.  Dr. Geary was predeceased by his parents and brother John Peter Geary.

   

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May fifth at ST. Santa Martinez

Santa Martinez took her last breath the morning of Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She was born February 24, 1939 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and had just celebrated her 73rd birthday. she moved to New York city in the mid 1950's with her mom, Ana Ramirez, where she got married. She and her husband, had five daughters, Elizabeth Bonilla, Ibeth Martinez, Janette Almirall, Annette Martinez, and Elaine Martinez. From them she got to enjoy 15 grandchildren ranging in age from 11 to 33 and 14 great-grandchildren, the oldest just turned fourteen. She loved her sons-in-law and let them know it every chance she got. Her vibrant personality was contagious! Santa never met a stranger. She was always smiling and ready to share. Santa taught her daughters the finer points of being a "lady" by example. A lady was never complete without her lipstick, jewelry, and matching shoes - and they learned those lessons as well as all who know them will confirm. Even in these latter months of illness, while living in a facility, her room was the most colorful and stylishly decorated, so said the facility employees who totally enjoyed her "joie de vivre'. She will be truly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 31st, 2012 at Dobbs Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Mullins, officiating.

Edgar Francis Pouchet

Edgar Francis Pouchet of Orlando, age 75, passed away on Saturday, March 24th, 2012. Edgar was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad the son of Edgar St. John Pouchet and Carmen Codallo. From 1967 until 1969 he lectured music in Trinidad. He moved to Central Florida from California in 1972 and was employed as a musical director for Walt Disney World. He was a member of Sanctuary of Praise Church in Orlando; President of Carnival Association, President of Trinibago Association; Composer of National Steel Orchestra; Ambassador of the Touring Orchestra; Founder of "Gold Posts" Steel Orchestra; Silver Stars Steel Orchestra Arranger and first to compose classical music for a steel orchestra.

He is predeceased by son Maurice Pouchet (1985). Edgar leaves to cherish his memory, wife Yvonne V. (Lopez) Pouchet of Orlando; daughters, Michelle Pouchet of Irvine, California; Frances (Trini) Pena of Orlando; son Andre (Dia) Johann of Cypress, Turkey; brothers Everard (Marlene), Elliot, Edmund (Alison), Elton (Lorraine), Edwin (Christine), Edric (Suzette) Pouchet all of Trinidad; sisters, Yvette (Swelyn) Prima of Trinidad, Heather (Maurice) Brown of Trinidad, Tesa Theresa Pouchet of Orlando, Camille (Michael) Gomez of Trinidad; granddaughters Natalie and Celina Pouchet of Orlando; great grandson Sayvion Pouchet-Sammy of Orlando; 43 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends on from 5:00 until 7:00 pm followed by a service at 7:00 pm on Friday, March 30th, 2012 at Dobbs Funeral Home. Interment will be in Trinidad.

Pedro J. Colon

Pedro J. Colon age 31 of Ocoee passed away on Sunday, March 25th, 2012. Pedro was born in Boston, Massachusetts the son of Adelaida (Alvarado) and Pedro Colon. He moved to Central Florida in 1996. Pedro was employed at a local grocery store and was an avid Orlando Magic Fan. He leaves to cherish his memory, Father Pedro Colon of Boston, Massachusetts; mother and stepfather, Adelaida and Julio Fortunato of Ocoee; two sisters, Lisandra Colon and Adalaida Fortunato, both of Ocoee; and brother Andy Colon of Orlando. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 - 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 followed by the funeral service at Dobbs Funeral Home. Interment will be at Winter Garden Cemetery.

Patricia June Burleson

Patricia June Burleson (nee Wellington) was born on June 16, 1925 in Lafayette, Indiana. Her parents were George Gilbert, better known as "GG" Wellington and Gertrude Wellington, who were already the proud parents of three boys. Patricia was the youngest of the four children and was admittedly spoiled by her older brothers. She loved all her brothers but was closest throughout her life with her next youngest brother Richard "Dick" Wellington. Their relationship would continue the rest of their lives until Dick's untimely passing. Patricia grew up in Lafayette, Indiana where her father worked at Purdue University. Her mother was her role model as a mother and parent, caring for her children and husband. Patricia was a child of the Great Depression and often told stories about her mother "never turning away anyone who came to our house asking for food". "Times were hard" she'd often say, but her parents and family persevered. In the late 1930's, a young man from Indianapolis decided to attend the great university known for engineering. Purdue University, where "GG" Wellington worked and became fast friends with a young Robert Burleson, an aspiring engineer. In due time, GG asked Robert "Bob" to visit his home where Robert met Patricia. They dated for a short time before the beginning of World War II. Robert enlisted in World War II and became a pilot in the Army Air Corps. Patricia and Robert maintained contact by writing each other throughout the four years of the war. Patricia worked during the war as a PBX operator (or telephone operator) during this time, something at which she became very proficient and later said that she enjoyed very much.

After the war, the couple continued their relationship that had been interrupted by "The Great War" and were married on August 28, 1945. Her husband graduated from Purdue University in June 1946 and they were very much ready to start their long lives together. After their wedding, they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to work in a business that Patricia's brothers started and Robert was the engineer of the business. It was on August 16, 1948 that their first son, Dave (David Lee) was born. Robert worked at the business while Patricia raised their newborn son. They stayed in Utah until 1950 when they moved back to Indianapolis where their second born, a daughter, Shirley (Shirley Ann) was born on November 7, 1951. Robert continued to work as an engineer while Patricia was a traditional mother, caring for her family and husband. They were a very traditional family for the time and Patricia happily worked at her job of mother and homemaker. She and her husband kept their roles of father as provider for the family financially and after work and Patricia was the caretaker of everything involved with the home. In 1954 Patricia became pregnant with a third child, but unfortunately had a miscarriage. It was a very difficult time for Patricia, but she persevered with her life.

Her husband started working for a company where he would work for many years and Patricia and Robert moved to Morrow, Ohio. On July 23, 1957 their third born child, Richard (Richard Donald) was born. With three children, Patricia and Robert felt that their family was complete and they became the parents that every child would want. They spent time in their children's activities and Patricia was always there for anything her children needed. When they needed reassurance, she provided it. When they needed guidance, she was there. When they needed help with anything in their lives, Patricia was always there to help in any way she could. Patricia sacrificed so her family could have things and she went without. Many times Patricia would make one of her fantastic dinners and would make sure her husband children were fed first, and then she would eat. It didn't go unnoticed that she would have less food than others on occasion and she would say that she wasn't hungry, but she had taken less for herself so others could have more. Patricia's children could come home from playing outside and she would patch up any wound, cut or abrasion along with the occasional broken bone would be taken care of. When they were sick, she cared for them and nurtured them back to health. Patrica had two rules for staying home from school: 1) a temperature or 2) actively vomiting. Absent either of those two conditions, the children were expected to go school.

It was well known that Patricia loved her children. From her first born grandchild, Adam Burleson, through all of her eight grandchildren, Rikki and Kelly Burleson, Robert, Tricia, Craig, and Dana Mackey, and Michael Burleson, she cared for and helped raised almost all of them. At the very least, she loved them all. Patricia always wanted what was best for her children, and it was the same for her grandchildren. She was always there whether physically or emotionally for all her grandchildren. "They are my life" she would often say, displaying her care for children no matter how old she got. She always asked her children how her grandchildren were doing. As Patricia and her husband were in their 70's, they moved to Orlando where two of their children were living and her husband's brother was living at the time. They lived with their daughter Shirley when her husband Robert passed on October 3, 2001. He is buried here in the Florida National Cemetery where Patricia joined him on March 16th, 2012. There isn't enough that can be said about Patricia as a mother and grandmother. She lived her life with her husband for her children and grandchildren. She was loved by friends she made over the years.

Waverly Lee Baskerville, Jr.

Waverly Lee Baskerville, Jr. age 64 passed away on March 13, 2012. Waverly Lee Baskerville, Jr. was born in South Hill, Virginia, where he lived until age seven, when he and his family moved to Newark, New Jersey. He was the eldest of four children, all boys! He accepted the Lord and for years was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey. Waverly went to Fredonia State University in New York, where he met and married Ruth Cheatham months later. Through their union, one child, Alicia, was born while they were still in college. Waverly and Ruth enjoyed each other’s company during forty-four years of marriage. Waverly earned a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Business Administration, working thirty years for top investment banking firms on Wall Street. He became First Vice President of Salomon Brothers, Inc. He served ten years on the Board of Education in Orange, New Jersey, and was President the year his daughter, Alicia graduated from high school. He was an officer in the Southern Acres Home Owners Association here in Windermere. Waverly was an avid collector of cars and African-American memorabilia, particularly Buffalo Soldiers and Black pilots. His mother, Lydia Baskerville and brother, James Sherman Baskerville preceded him in death. Waverly is survived by his wife, Ruth Baskerville, his daughter, Alicia Lankford, son-in-law, Bruce Lankford, father, Waverly Baskerville, Sr., brothers Larry Baskerville and Phillip (Angela) Baskerville, grandchildren, Bruce, Jalyn, Kennedy and Avery Lankford, along with a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. A memorial service will be held at his home, 13449 Southern Way, Windermere FL 34786, on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Bishop Richard B. Lankford, Sr., Officiating from the Atlanta International Christian Praise Center - Atlanta, Georgia.

“Darling, Forever”

I saw this handsome, skinny soccer player walk across the college campus, and immediately fell in love. I heard those bells and whistles people talk of, and I knew I had to have this man for my lifetime partner. We married while still in college, had baby Alicia, left college with two diplomas and no milk for our baby. My father gave us a family Bible, in which he wrote that we were “The Happiness Kids” because we were so in love and so happy. Our home décor went from black lights and hanging beads between rooms, to a water bed with mirrors on the canopy, to the delicate balance between my love of silver and china, and Waverly’s love of Black pilots and cowboys, and enough leather horses to fill a small stable. While looking at family pictures to choose the best for a memorial collage, I saw that he had the Afro look to the bald look, wore the bathing suit and barbecue shorts to the black-tie tuxedo. We had a full life. Our first apartment contained less than a dozen pieces of furniture, and Waverly came home with a picture of a red Corvette, which he taped to the empty wall. I called him a “dreamer,” saying we would never have such wealth, but he had the determination and work ethic to make me a dreamer, too. Along our journey, he insisted that we reach back and mentor young people seeking a better life. He was as generous to family and friends as he was to himself. He took quiet pleasure in seeing others happy and productive. Many people knew that Waverly was a private, cautious man who was married to an adventurous woman. Few knew that the reason I soared before learning how to work my wings was that I always had Waverly to catch me. He was a strong taskmaster, pushing my career forward when I preferred to stay in my comfort zone. But each time I followed his lead, I did more, I had more, I WAS more. When we married at nineteen years old, I was uncertain of our future. Waverly wasn’t. Recently, I told him how exciting my life had been these past forty-four years because he kept things fresh and full of surprise. He responded by saying that I added the forty-four years of suspense we shared. Waverly was my life partner, my friend, my lover, my mentor. I can’t imagine sleeping in the bed without him or eating a meal without having light conversation with him. I retired last spring, and we had the gift of time together, day and night, for almost a year. God needed him before I was ready to give him up, so I accept God’s will. He used to sign the cards he gave me with “Darling, Forever,” so I’ll end my tribute to the most remarkable man I’ll ever know, with, “Waverly, Dear, You’ll be proud watching me continue to soar, this time reading the manual for wing spans and remembering the lessons you taught me. I’ll be fine until we meet again. Your Darling, Forever, Ruthie.”

Nikolas Richard Hoover

Nikolas Richard Hoover, age 15 of Ocoee, Florida passed away suddenly on Wednesday ,March 14th, 2012. Nikolas was born in Orlando, Florid aon November 20th, 1996, the son of Ruby Jean (Proffitt) and Kenneth Scott Hoover. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Orlando. Nikolas leaves to cherish his memory, sister Syanne Haddock of Lake Panasofkee, Florida; two brothers Jarrett Scott Hoover of Ocoee, Tyler Lee Haddock of Conetoe, North Carolina; paternal grandmother Patricia Gail Hoover of Clermont; maternal grandparents Debra and Sammy Gay of Lake Panasofkee, Florida. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, March 19th, 2012 from 5 - 8 pm at Dobbs Funeral Home. Betty C. Westerman, age 81 of Orlando, passed away on Sunday, March 11th, 2012 at her residence. Betty was born in Richmond, Virginia the daughter of the late Thelma (Kennedy) and Ed Lipe. She was employed as a medical assistant in a physicians office and a member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church. Betty leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Carolyn Barber, Connie Hayes both of Orlando; two sons, John Westerman, Jr. of Orlando, Tim Westerman of Christmas, Florida; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Public visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 followed by the funeral service at Dobbs Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens.

Laura Rodriguez McLendon

Laura Rodriguez McLendon, age 65 of Daytona Beach, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 7th, 2012 in Orlando. Laura was born in Bronx, New York the daughter of Ramon and Vega Rodriguez. She moved to Central Florida from New York in 1961 and was employed as a nurse. Laura leaves to cherish her memory, husband Harry McLendon of Daytona Beach; sons Joseph Hunter of Daytona Beach, Neil Hunter of Orlando; brother Jose Rodriguez of New York; grandsons Shomari Romni of North Carolina, Joseph Hunter of Troy, Alabama; granddaughter Jarvae Zackery of Atlanta, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at Dobbs Funeral Home on Monday, March 12th, 2012 followed by the service at 3:00 pm with Pastor Thomas Hensley officiating.

Isabel Rita Clasen

Isabel Rita Clasen, a resident of Orlando, Florida since February of 2009 and formerly of Elysian Valley, California, passed away on March 10th, 2012. She was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on December 1, 1919. Isabel and her husband of 58 years , the late Leonard Clasen, moved to the Elysian Valley in Los Angeles California in 1942. The are preceded in death by their son, Gerald Clasen, and are survived by their children, Richard Clasen of Seattle, Washington; Kathleen Peppard of Galt, California; Charlene Brookfield of Orlando, Florida; Barbara Owen of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Dennis Clasen of Tujunga, California; Clifford Clasen of Big Bear, California; sister Dorothy Agnew of San Diego, California; 34 grandchildren, and even more great and great-great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida; and prior to that she was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Los Angeles, California, where she served as President of The Altar and Rosary Society, along with many other activities through the years. Isabel was a den mother with the Cub Scouts, actively involved with the Elysian Valley Community, and celebrated her 60th Anniversary as a Avon Representative in July of 2011. The funeral mass celebrating Isabel's life will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida followed by a graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery in Los Angeles, California on Thursday, March 15th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.

Nang Ngo, age 64 of Polk City, Florida passed away Thursday, March 1st, 2012 in Winter Garden, Florida. Nang was born in Phu Yen, Viet Nam the son of the late Ket (Vo) and Xuong Ngo. He was employed in the hotel industry. Aida Maria Rivera age 81 passed away on Friday, February 10th, 2012 in Conyers, Georgia. Aida was born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Santiago and Estefania (Rosario) Rivera. She was employed as a beauty and hair stylist and was a member of St. Augustine Church of Fern Park. Aida leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Elizabeth (Arthur) Eurbin of Orlando, Wanda (Greg) Diaz-Gant of Conyers, GA, Marisol (Terry) Carlton of Orlando; son Anthony (Linda) Rodriguez of Orlando; 15 grandchildren, Jimmy (Nornacis) Rivera, Andre Perez, Luzaida Alicea, Dominic Rodriguez, Athena (Leland) Dicus, Elena (Richard) Santiago, Rosaida (Ya'Donnis) Hardaway, Steven Barbosa, Jason Rodriguez, Jessica Cadavid, Brandon Holm, Brett Holm, Gino Cadavid, Fernando Carlton, Alejandra Carlton; 9 great-grandchildren, Kathleen, Alyssa, Kendra, Jordan, Ya'Donnis, Braylon, Brandon, Leah and Bryson. Richard Billy Luyo, Jr.

Richard Billy Luyo, Jr., age 25 of Orlando passed away Sunday, February 12th, 2012. Richard was born in Orlando, Florida the son of Iliana (Gonzalez) and Richard B. Luyo, Sr. He was employed as a salesman. Richard leaves to cherish his memory, parents Iliana and Richard Luyo, Sr. of Orlando; wife Criselle (Sofia) Luyo of Orlando; son Rylan David Luyo of Orlando; brother Joshua Lee Luyo of Orlando and paternal grandparents Jesus Damasco and Bella Luyo of Ecuador. He is also survived by cousins, friends and extended family that love him and will always live in their hearts. Ianthe "Beryl" Branch went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2012. She was born on August 25, 1948 in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of William Fulton Brooks and Ianthe Coe Clark, Beryl was a cost pricing specialist for REXEL for the past 21 years. Surviving family members include her husband of 24 years Sam; three sons Chuck (Sherrie) Hansen of Hilliard FL, Sam (Crystal) Branch of Harrison TN, Curtis Branch of Murphy, NC; two brothers Barnett (Kim) Clark of Warner Robbins, GA, Wade (Linda) Clark of Jasper, AL; one granddaughter Emma Brook Branch, two grandsons Bryce and Travis Hansen; two nieces and three nephews. Valda Floyd Hoskins rejoined her husband, Jess Hoskins (passed April 1993) and Son-in-law George Goodman (passed February 1998) on January 31, 2012. While we are saying "Goodbye" here, there are so many others who have gone ahead and who are waiting to say "Hello" again as you enter Heaven. You will be missed by your friends and family and the many people whose lives you touched. James Patrick McKibben

James Patrick McKibben age 66 of Orlando, passed away on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 at his home. Jim was born in Kingsville, Ohio the son of Elizabeth (Colgan) and Edward S. McKibben. He served in the U.S. Army stationed in Korea during the Vietnam Era. He was self employed as a sole proprietor and salesman. Jim was a member of Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine Catholic Church in Orlando. His memory will be cherished by his wife, Anita (Couture) McKibben; two daughters Lisa McKibben and Lori Aldinger both of Orlando; sister Kay Green of Ohio; two brothers Robert C. McKibben of Chipley and Edward S. McKibben of Uriah, Alabama; 3 grandchildren Jordan, Megan and Sarah of Orlando. Tom Burton Hardy, Sr.

Tom Burton Hardy, Sr. died on January 24, 2012. Born in Washington, NC on September 20, 1920, he served in World War II in the 11th Airborne Division as a Paratrooper. After his return from the war he worked with the Federal Government in Washington, DC and Bluemont, VA. He is predeceased by his first wife Agnes Patton Hardy, the mother of their children. He is survived by his present wife Ursula Perkins Hardy; son Tom Burton Hardy, Jr.; daughters Laura Lee Hardy and Patricia Hardy Howard; his son-in-law Alan Howard; his sister Virginia Lee Hurdle of Burlington, NC; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his stepson Jeffery Perkins; his wife Sylvia and step-granddaughter Victoria, all of Germany. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church Oviedo, FL. The family will be receiving friends on from 2-3 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2012, followed by the 3 pm funeral service at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Herve Dubourg, age 52 passed away on Thursday, January 19th, 2012. Herve was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti the son of Lucien and Alide (Nicolas) Dubourg. He was employed at Health Central Hospital as a radiology technician. Robert Eugene Pangle, age 76 of Montverde, Florida passed away on Friday, January 6th, 2012 in Orlando. Kathy Lawrence, age 52 of Orlando, passed away Thursday, December 29th, 2011. Kathy was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania the daughter of Laura (Heisey) and John Moats. She was employed as a real estate broker. Annette McIver James Barnard

Annette McIver James Barnard (Anne), age 65 of Orlando, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011. Anne was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Annette McIver and Theodore Sage James, Jr. Anne was a graduate of Plant High School (Tampa, FL) - class of 1964 and attended Wesleyan College (Macon, GA) for three years.

Anne worked her entire life in the field of insurance as a Customer Service Representative and an agent. The majority of her time was spent at Cooper, Simms, Nelson & Mosley Insurance, sun State Insurance, and finally, Hugh Cotton Insurance, where she worked for nearly 25 years. She enjoyed her work, as it allowed her to interact with many people who she considered not just customers, but friends. Many of them considered her to be a treasure as well, due to her attention to detail and her concern that all of their needs be met to the best of her ability.

Anne spent her time reading mysteries voraciously and loving her cats. She loved the beauty of the NC mountains, especially the waterfalls. She also had quite the green thumb - especially with African violets. The wind chimes she collected will lead to fond memories stirring with every breeze that passes by.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Barbara Annette Barnard, also of Orlando, and several cousins. She also leaves behind two very spoiled cats. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Theodore S. James, III.

Anne will be interred in the family plot in Charlotte, NC. As would be her desire, only a small graveside service will be held at interment. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Hospice of the comforter, which provided such wonderful comfort and care for her in her final days.

Richard Patrick Gibbs

Richard Patrick Gibbs, 73 of Ocoee passed away on Thursday, December 22nd, 2011. Richard was born in Georgetown, Guyana, the son of Percy and Sophie Gibbs. He was an agricultural business owner and member of Metro West Church of the Nazarene in Orlando, the prayer group, board member and usher. Richard leaves to cherish his memory, wife Adele (Sukrajh) Gibbs; daughter Anna (Deonarine) Lallbeharry; three sons David (Georgin) Gibbs, Michael Gibbs and Elroy Rohoman; 10 grandchildren Christopher Gibbs, Stephanie Diaram, Ryan Lallbeharry, Daniel Gibbs, Renee Gibbs, Steven Lallbeharry, Michele Gibbs, Ricahrd Rohoman, Raul Rohoman, Shonny Rohoman; 2 great-grandchildren, Michael Gibbs, Nathaniel Gibbs; and 2 brothers, Major Gibbs and Roy Gibbs. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, December 30th, 2011 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm at Metro West Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ronald Benjamin officiating. Mangaroo Suamber age 93 of Orlando, passed away on December 6th, 2011. Mr. Suamber was born in Nonpareil, Guyana the son of Suamber and Rajwantia. He moved to Central Florida from New York in 1990 and was employed in agriculture as a farmer. He is predeceased by his first wife Ramkalia Suajber (1985). Mangaroo leaves to cherish his memory, wife Jass Suamber of Orlando; 2 sons Sookhraj Mangru of Atlanta, Babu Mangru of Port St. John; 4 daughters Janak Dularie Surujdeen of New Jersey, Socilla Ramlagan of Orlando, Gangoritie Seeteram of Bronx, NY, Mohanie Prashad of Queens; daughters-in-law Sampati Mangru of Atlanta, Sumintra Mangru of New York, Betty Mangru of Port St. John; 39 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Suamber was loved by his wife Jass, children, grand, great and great-great grandchildren, in laws and all his other family. The family will be receiving friends with traditional on Thursday, December 8th, 2011 from 5-9 pm, at Dobbs Funeral Home and a Traditional Hindu Service on Friday, December 9th, 2011 from 9:30 - 11:30 am followed by cremation at Metro Crematory.

Georgette Eliabeth Lamarque

Georgette Elizabeth Lamarque, age 98 passed away on Thursday, December 1st, 2011. Georgette was born in Jacmel, Haiti on September 15, 1913 and was the daughter of Elise and Rocher Alexandre. She was married to Rodolphe Lamarque and had five children; Margaret, Kettly, Carole, Lesly (bob), Marie Rosemonde and her adopted daughter Nadine. She left ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was a very reserved housewife that raised her children with honorable values and taught them to stand tall with strength in front of adversity. Georgia never complained about anything and always accepted things as they were. She was a good Christian that believed that the path to God is the only path to follow. Georgette went home to God on December 1st, 2011 surrounded by her children. The family will be receiving friends at Dobbs Funeral Home from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9th, 2011 and on Saturday, December 10th, 2011 from 8:45 - 9:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, following visitation at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Emmett C. Owens, Jr., P.E.

Emmett C. Owens, Jr., P.E. age 78 passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2011. Emmett was born in Jacksonville, Florida the son of Emmett C. and Eva Belle (Collins) Owens, Sr. He graduated from the University of Miami, was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War and member of The American Society of Civil Engineers. During his engineering career he was the chief site engineer for the Orlando International Airport and worked on large engineering projects both in the US and overseas. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years Arnene Q. Owens three sons, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Emmett will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 11:00 am on December 20, 2011. Cecil Donnelle Mills

Cecil "Buddy" Mills age 75 of Orlando lost his life on December 3, 2011. He was born on May 24, 1936 i Columbus, Georgia. For the past year and a half, Buddy and his son Brian Clinebell battled cancer together. Brian lost his battle in September of 2011 and Buddy has now joined him in heaven. He leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years, Janice; his children Carolyn (Jimmy) Goodwin, Linda Klein, Sandy Clinebell, Monica Garnett; Michael and Jimmy Mills; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his children, Missy, Mark, Joanne and Brian. Buddy was the owner of Budget Fence. Over the years, through his company, he met many wonderful people that became lifelong friendships. He was blessed with their friendship because he was a good friend himself. Visitation will be at 1 pm Saturday, December 10, 2011 followed by funeral services at 2 pm at North Powers Drive Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Timothy Michael Butt

Timothy Michael Butt age 46 of Orlando, Florida passed away Sunday, December 4th, 2011. Timothy was born in Stuttgart, Germany, the son of Marguerite (Ryan) and the late Louis Milton Butt. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando and employed as an insurance salesman. He leaves to cherish his memory mother Marguerite Ryan of Tampa; wife Michelle (Bodoia) Butt of Orlando; two sons Ryan Michael and Anthony Michael Butt of Orlando; three sisters Kathleen (Bob) Spooner of Tampa, Melisa (Glenn) Campbell of Leesburg, Sharon (Dennis) Henderson of Scottsdale AZ; brother Pat Ryan of Brooksville, FL; and granddaughter Kendall Jane Bender of Orlando. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, Orlando at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 10th, 2011 with Father Martin Gerber officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
