My condolences to the family for the great loss of a generation of heros.
I only had the privilege of meeting my Uncle Bob a Handful of times, but I remember them all fondly and with great respect.
My dad, Raymond Sklenka, Bob's youngest brother, spoke of Bob's expertise of instructing Radar to fellow Navy pilots during WWII, which he proudly served as a Hellcat and Corsair pilot. Thank you for your service Uncle Bob and the memorable pictures you sent my wife Patricia and I of your life during and after WWII as you continued your career as a commercial pilot. I have always held a great respect for you and your veteran brothers, Albert Sklenka, US Army Aircorp, Raymond Sklenka, USN.

Rest in peace Uncle Bob. You were the last of the greatest generation in our family. So glad Nancy and I got to see you for your 100th birthday.

Rest in peace Uncle Bob. I was always thrilled to know when Uncle Bob was coming to visit. The last time we had a face to conversation was when you was only 98. Thank you for your service and thank you for the memories.
