Rosemary O'Connor Buchelli

Rosemary O'Connor Buchelli, age 57, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away Sunday, May 24th, 2015, at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt, and will be deeply missed by her husband, three children, two brothers, sister, and 25 nieces and nephews. Rosemary was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Alice Marie (King) and Daniel Patrick O'Connor. She is an alumna of St. Mary Academy-Bayview ('75) in Rhode Island and Stonehill College ('79). She was employed for many years in the hospitality field, most recently with Wyndham Vacations Resorts, and was an active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Orlando.

Rosemary (Rose or Rosie as her friends and family liked to call her) was vivacious, loving, and compassionate. She loved all the good things in life, particularly spending time with her family and her dog, Tito. She also enjoyed shopping (much to the chagrin of her husband) and volunteering as a Eucharistic Minister with her church. Rosemary and her family opened their home to friends for boisterous and joyous open houses every year on Christmas, full of laughter and love. Rosemary had an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile; she was fun-loving and a bit mischievous. As one of her grammar school classmates said very eloquently, “You are a kid that makes all the kids get in trouble.” Above all, family was the most important thing to Rosemary.

She is survived by her husband, Biron H. Buchelli, her two daughters, Daniella Rose Buchelli and Julia Katherine Buchelli, and her son, Kevin Jacinto Buchelli. She will be missed by her siblings, Daniel Patrick O'Connor, Jr., of Narragansett, RI, Stephen Joseph O'Connor of Hingham, MA, and Alicemarie O'Connor, of North Kingstown, RI. She joins her brother Kevin Michael O'Connor (1963) and her parents in heaven.

The family will be receiving friends at Dobbs Funeral Home on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Orlando at 10:00 am on Monday, June 1st, 2015 with Father Andy O'Reilly officiating. Interment will follow the Mass at Winter Garden Cemetery Winter Garden, FL. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org..

Rosemary touched so many lives. She blessed so many people with her strong faith and her unique way of making everyone feel welcome in her life. I’m grateful I had the chance to know her both as a cherished friend and sister in Christ. I’m praying that all of you find comfort in your memories of her and in the knowledge that others are missing her, too. Lynn Williams
